This is a like-new fly reel made for High Sierra bamboo rod Co. by Galvan reels in Sonora California. I bought it from a fly shop. I believe it was a display model. I never used it or even put backing on it. It is in absolute mint condition and comes with a velvety reel bag. The reel's spool is 1 inch wide and 2& 5/8 inches in diameter. My kitchen scale says the reel weighs 3& 3/8ths ounces. The handle on the spool is made from bamboo. The reel's drag system is similar to that on the Galvan Brookie reel. Parts missing, etc. However, some items just had too low of a value for us to sell individually OR we didn't want to do the research to find the exact size of the spool or didn't have a frame to test it on to make sure it rotated smoothly. The battenkil 5/6's work okay. The Galvan spool is new w/ box is new. The Tibor spools likely come from a Billy Pate Salmon and an Anti Reverse Pate. Two Sage 2550's in working condition as well. Galvan T-10 Fly Reel, Black, for 7-9 wt. lines
Galvan T-10 in very good used condition. The reel shows its history and has some wear marks including some rim rash. Finish wear on the foot and a ding in the outer rim about the size of a pen tip. I tried to show all of these in the photos. Otherwise it functions perfectly without any mechanical issues. It is set up for left hand wind with about 150 yds. of#30 dacron. I had it lined with a#30 Ridge running line and a 525 Skagit Flight. There is a tiny bit of color stain on the backing from the running line but it is still in excellent condition. If you've read this far in the listing you probably know just how good the Galvan T series are. The 10 and the 12 are especially good Spey reels with the addition of the spey weight which I highly recommend.There's no reserve on the auction and a reasonable starting price. Vintage Art Tonala Pottery - Turtle Sculpture - By Simeon Galvan (SG)
Up for sale is a nice example of older Mexican Art Pottery. This Mexican Turtle with a bobble head is crafted of tan clay and hand painted with flowers on it's back in shades of white and terra cotta over the tan painted background. The artist Simeon Galvan has signed the sculpture under glaze with S.G on the turtle's belly. See picture) Simeon has given a nice artistic detail to the turtle's head and body. The head is attached to a hook located inside the turtle shell. It allows the head to move up and down and sideways when you touch it. This Turtle is about 8 1/2" long with head attached. It is in good vintage condition. There are a couple of places(one eye& on the leftside of the shell) where the paint may have been scratched. Also one pinhole nic on the right side underneath. These older pieces were commonly made as touristware for vacationers traveling to Mexico. By the very nature of the unsealed burnished finish. Galvan OB-6 Fly Reel 7/8 weight - Used 5 times!
I am selling a Galvan OB-6 Fly Reel. I believe it is currently spooled with WF floating weight forward 7 Wt line and backing. I'm selling this reel because I would like to buy a new rod for bass fishing. I bought this reel when I was in Alaska some years back for a salmon run. But due to a red algae bloom, the salmon never came and I never got to use the reel in AK. I have since used this real about 5 times fishing for bass in freshwater. But that is it. Reel is in very good condition. I paid 300 for the reel new. And it currently still has some pretty decent line and backing on it which I paid extra for, so I'm asking 250, although I will consider other offers. If your interested.
