Lamson 2 Fly Reel for 5-7wt line Good Condition
I have caught many large trout with this reel. I've had it for many years. And it is still as serviceable as ever. Aside from a few dings on the edges, it still looks great. I used it with 5 and 6 wt. lines and kept about 100-200 yds. of 20lb. backing on it, depending on the material it was made from. It changes from right to left hand retrieve easily. The drag is as smooth and strong as ever. When I bought the reel, Lamson was considered one of the top manufacturers. They machined their reels from aircraft grade aluminum. If reasonable care is taken, this reel will last several more lifetimes. I have been selling off my fly fishing gear for some time, as I am increasingly unable to handle the casting. Greetings fly fishers! I'm selling my Lamson Velocity(size 2. For size 5/6 fly lines) fly reel and extra spool. Both the reel and spool come with a Lamson neoprene padded cover. The reel and spool are in very good condition with minimal scuffs. One spool has a mist green WF5 Rio fly line(I think it is Rio Gold, but not positive) that is in reasonable condition. The other spool will be shipped empty(despite the line shown in the picture) This reel has a super smooth drag that has micro-fine adjustment even in the light drag range which sets it apart from most reels in its class(most I've tried have only a couple of drag settings in the light drag range. Which seems to be the most useful range for trout fishing on a 5/6 wt line and light tippet) Line is currently setup for left hand retrieve. But reel can easily be changed for right ... morehand retrieve(although you'll have to re-spool the line for right hand if needed) The spool is removed by pulling it straight off the spindle.the spool snaps securely into place onto the spindle and requires a firm"pop" to remove it. Up for auction is my spare Atlantic Salmon reel a Orvis DXR 7/8 fly-reel which was originally made for Orvis by Lamson Reels. Now Lamson Waterworks.This DXR reel is used but in very good condition as you can see from the pictures. Yes there is a bit of reel rash and a few dings from fly fishing in Canada but mechanically it is just fine. The reel is currently set up for left hand retrieve but can be converted. The reels comes with the original Orvis leather& canvas reel case plus two( like new) spare spools that each have it's original Orvis cloth bag. There is a WF8F line on the reel with Dacron backing plus a WF7F line plus backing on one spare spool and a WF7F/S(sinking) line plus backing on the other spare spool. A complete package ready to fly fish for almost any medium to large fresh water fish. It has taken more than a few ... moresalmon and been to Alaska but never in salt water! Lamson Lightspeed 2 Hard Alox Fly Reel With EXTRAS!!
I bought this new at Basspro in OK City and paid A LOT of money for it. I quit fly fishing so here is your chance to get an awesome reel cheap. I have fished with it less than 10 times. It has a few little blemishes from setting it down to get a fish off the hook but it functions perfectly. I tried to get pictures of this. I have kept the drag set at 0 and in its case when storing it. It's a 2 which I think is a 4 to 6 weight, it has 6wt Rio line on it that is still in decent shape. I'm throwing in a Rio line cleaning kit, an Orvis sink line, and a few NEW bass flies. I also have the maintenance paperwork to go with it. I'm left handed and it's set for that but the paper work explains how to easily switch it. Lamson has a lifetime warranty on there reels and of all the ones I've owned, this was my favorite. Lamson Evolution #2 Fly reel, First edition of this model,Conical Drag system
This is the first reel model for Lamson reels where they introduced the conical drag. Which they are now noted for. The reel still works 100% like it when it was first made. The drag is very smooth, and the handing of the reel is user reversible. Should work fine for 4/5/6 weight lines. Fly line is NOT INCLUDED. Zoom in on the pictures and you will see rim rash, and other cosmetic blemishes. The reel works fine.
