In immaculate. Undamaged condition, this 1980s Lamson DCA-3 fly reel has only been used once in freshwater, weighs 5.9 oz and is ideal for a WF-6-F fly line. The machine had a Qualcheck 2000 on it but it stopped working. It went out for repair but the repair guy died unexpectedly. Now its tied up in a mess. However. This is a good rugged floor model with multiple magnification rates and lamp settings. Extra bulbs are included. Some of the travels are motor driven. Fine tuning is manual. Up for auction is a lamson litespeed 15th anniversary reel.size: 3.5number 143/500This reel has been used but has been very well maintained and is in excellent condition. There is some minor boat rash which is shown in the picture but no other cosmetic blemishes.Reel has been fished less than 10 times. Comes loaded with 20lb backing. This reel has a custom orange cassette which is only available on the anniversary editions. Super lightweight and makes a great 8 or 9 weight reel. Getting rid of it because I need some extra cash and have a surplus of reels.

ORVIS DXR 7/8 FLY Fishing REEL w/ Extra SPOOL& 7 WT Lines For 7 8 Rod LAMSON LP This listing is for a used Orvis DXR 7/8 fly reel with one extra spool. The reel is a standard arbor design. Of sturdy construction from machined bar stock aluminum, and recommended for use with 7 and 8 wt. lines. This is the first version of the DXR, which was made in the U.S.A. allegedly by Lamson. It is similar to a Lamson LP-3, but with the drag system of an Orvis Battenkill 7/8 Disc reel. The reel has a soft click on the retrieve, with a harder click on the outgo(pawl can be easily disengaged for quieter reel operation) It is set up for left hand retrieve, but can be changed to right(flipping over the center gear on the spindle reverses the drag direction) The reel is well used. With ample rock rash along the back rim of the frame. The Orvis emblem is ... moremissing from the back plate. One spool has a shallow rim dent, but it doesn't affect the reel operation. The reel works fine with both spools. I have set the drag range at what I think is the best setting. It is a bit strong at the low end, so not recommended for the lightest tippets. These drag systems can be adjusted for different ranges, and I will include instructions from Orvis, should the buyer not like the current range. One spool is lined with backing and a WF-7-F Scientific Anglers Mastery Steelhead taper line. While the other has backing and a Rio WF-7-F/S Density Compensated Type 3 sink tip line. Both are older lines that may have some life left in them. Shipping is available to the U.S. and Canada. This is an extremely nice. One-owner, Lamson LP-3.5 machined aluminum fly reel. It is mechanically and cosmetically excellent. Included are two(2) spare spools. One with what looks like 20# dacron backing. There is what appears to be a 9wt(or maybe 10wt) fly line, with backing, installed. It looks like it has been VERY LIGHTLY used, and has been in storage for at least 10 years. Any questions, or need more photos, don't hesitate to ask. Lot of Jones & Lamson J&L Optical Bench Comparator Lenses
Let me just start off by saying that I don't know what an Optical Comparator is or what it's used for. Now that you know where I'm coming from. Here's a nice lot of Jones& Lamson Optical Comparator Lenses. Used. But the glass lenses all look to be in good condition, but as you should be able to tell there is some wear and age showing. The long pieces(forgive my ignorance) are marked 48mm 31.25. 48mm 50-x, 2 are marked just 48mm, and 1 just 10x. 5 of the shorter pieces are marked 5. 3 with an 8. And there's one more piece somewhere between long and short marked 20x. And please pay no attention to the smudge from my dirty camera lens. Sorry about that.

Lamson LP3 Fly Reel?
I just ended this listing as LP1 but I do believe it to be LP3. the little copper piece noting the size fell out of the center on the back. It holds my 4 wgt. line. I've chased a lot of smallmouth and panfish with this reel. I've used it on my 3 and 4 wgt. fly rods. It's light and does the job. The drag works but the handle was somehow sheared off in the back of my Blazer on the way to the stream. I may have shut the gate on it. You can still reel the line back on with the little silver"counter weight" that sits across from where the handle used to be attached. The hole is there and you can possible attach a new handle. The reel looks worn but it's quiet. I'm saving up to buy a new reel and smallmouth bass rod which is why I am selling this reel.
