this is a THIS TRIPOD ha some issues further else it.S in good CONDITION, this is the real deal made in 1943 how more airborne can you find. It opens and closes ok. Pintle lock complete and working MADE BY LAMSON back in 1943. So: what issues? well the rigth leg has a bulge in it. And there is some play in the section were both legs are connected at the main head. because of this the legs dont close as they should close. Proberly this baby has seen some war damage done. So to my honest opnion. You need to take the whole tripod apart, fix it properly, mabay do a repaint job and your good to go. Dont forget. This one has the more rare BULGED feet, wich makes it more collectable then others various marlings/ numbers on small parts. Made in Massachusetts by the Lamson& Goodnow Manufacturing Company in their legendary Shelbourne Falls Works. This is one of the company's most iconic designs, a sawback fisherman's knife with tube sheath that was made in the early-mid 20th Century. It combines a carbon steel, straight-edge blade with a clipped point and serrated sawback edge on its top that is perfect for sawing through fish bones or for scaling. Handle is VERY high quality cocobolo rosewood, steel-pinned over a full and tapered tang and reinforced at the bolster with clad iron. I have for sale my Winston BIIX with a Lamson Velocity1.5 reel and Scientific Anglers Sharkskin line. The Rod, R.L. Winston Boron IIX 9' 4 weight 4 piece fly rod. This rod is in great shape. The only blemish on the entire rod. Is a chip in the cork handle, which can be seen in the photographs. I purchased this rod new and it is a dry fly dream. This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of antique retail history! The item for sale is a Lamson No. 9 Package Carrier. This antique measures 19" long x 12 1/2" wide x 6" high. It has a tag stating"Lamson Air Line Chicago" The carrier is in very good condition for its age. It does have light rust and one small section of squares where it has corroded through(pic 7) Lamson. Who was born in 1845, operated a"five and dime" called Rachet Store in Lowell where he first experimented with streamlining the cash transfer process. He formed the Lamson Cash Carrier Company in Boston in 1882. His company sold a variety of cash transfer systems from 1884 into the 1960s. This particular model is called a Lamson No 9 Package Carrier. It's use is shown in picture 9. This picture is an actual shoe store in Philadelphia ... morecalled Bryon's Shoe Shop. It is dated 1916. It states that Mr. Byron used the Lamson Parcel Carriers to move shoes. Money and sales slips throughout the store. The carrier can be seen in use in the upper right of the picture. Set of J&L optical comparator lenses in fitted wood box. One lens marked 10x. Larger threads than the others. Lens looks like it has some lines on the inside. But I can't see them when I look through it. One lens marked 62.5x. Has some dirt or marks on the inside of the lens. One lens marked 48mm on front and 10 on back. This is the long skinny lens in picture. Two aperture discs. All the threads are in good condition. I do not have a machine to test them on so I can only give a visual inspection. 7 day inspection and return period if they are not as described. I believe these fit the 14" J&L.
