This is a delightful little reel and the smallest of the original loop series of ultra large arbor fly reels. It weighs in at a mere 2.7 oz and will hold a 1-3 wt or a 4wt with little backing. It is 3.25" in diameter but seems smaller and is smooth as butter. It winds the same in either direction depending on which way you put the line on and has a drag but forces the user to use rim control or palming as much as possible. Just a sweet little reel in near mint condition with just a smidge of black rubbed of the foot. You will love this one.

Selling at no reserve is this LOOP Fly Reel. This is an older Model# 3. One of the original large arbor. Fly reels, it will adequately handle 8 weight through 10 weight lines. This reel is ambidextrous, and depending on how it is spooled, you simply reel against the drag. The reel is currently set-up for LHW and already includes +/ 250 yards of 30# Dacron backing. Terminating in an epoxied, blind-splice-loop. Oddly enough, although being previously enjoyed, it has almost no nicks or dings. There is an almost undetectable amount of"boat rash, on the bottom of the frame, but otherwise in pristine condition. Sage Model 707 Fly Reel Made by Loop Tackle in Sweden
Up for auction is this Beautiful Sage 707 fly reel. It was made by Loop tackle in Sweden. What can I say. But leave it to the Swedes to be innovative. The reel is extremely smooth but has no center post or drag. Instead the spool is suspended on a cage of six sealed and tapered roller bearings. So where's the drag you ask? It doesn't need one. A lot of people get worried when one says this about fly reels but their main purpose is to be a line holder. The main problem with any spool type reel is fouling and backlash. This reel conquers that. No matter how a hot fish may run; the reel just keeps enough tension on the line to keep the reel from over winding and back lashing. A lot of people couldn't get past the idea that a drag isn't really necessary on this reel and a lot of other reels were built with drags to satisfy the ... moremarket. I quickly learned to control the drag by changing the attitude of the rod and gently palming the bottom of the spool. The trade off is a reel that won't foul or stick and a spindle that won't bend because there isn't one. I also found that I could get away with lighter tippets because my tackle was a little more forgiving. This reel is a little over thirty years old and the forerunner of a lot of large spool reels. I used to fish tide water with it a lot for Steelhead and caught my share of them. The quality of workmanship in this reel is such that it still looks great and has endured over time.This reel performs flawlessly on the water and is a great addition to any collection for the collecting enthusiast as well.

Loop Opti Dry Fly Reel With RIO Line and Backing - Used
The Loop Opti Dryfly. One of the coolest reels you will see in the fly fishing industry today. This reel comes with backing and fly line. The backing is brand new and the fly line is only about 3 months old so it is practically new. The only problem on the fly line is the loop to attach your leader is a little notched up but it has a ton of life left in it. The line is RIO's Perception 6wt floating line. The reel itself is used and as you can see by the pictures there is several small dings and dents to the reel but nothing big. You would have to inspect it fairly close to notice 99% of them. vintage loop evotec lw 6/9 fly reel
this is a used loop lw 6nine fly reel number 1922 loaded with a leewulf 7 bonefish line only used on 2 occasions so like new. the reel has some marks on rim and the foot has some marks and scratches on the side that fits to the rod so not visible when on the rod. comes in its case. i am selling the reel at a reasonable price as it has some marks around it but they are only cosmetic. Loop Traditional 4 Salmon Reel
One for the collector or the enthusiast! If you're looking at this with a thought to buying it then you probably know how rare these are. And even rarer in this sort of condition. I love these reels and own quite a few Loop and Danielsson reels. Realistically I'm never going to use this one again, so it is time for it to go to someone else, who will hopefully catch many salmon on it! It is a Loop Traditional 4 Salmon fly-fishing reel. Which is big enough to hold a relatively long belly#10/11 spey line. Danielsson were the originators of the large arbor reel. And made them for Loop before they parted company. This is one of the original Swedish made reels, before Loop decided to have their reels made in the Far East. Its a lightweight reel for its size. Tipping the scales at around 290g. While it is a few years old, there is minimal ... morewear, and if you look carefully you can just see a faint wear mark around the spool. The rollers all spin freely and do not drag. The roller preload has always been backed off for storage, so the spool is still perfectly round with no notchiness as the spool spins. Unfortunately the previous owner fastened the reel into a seat that it didn't quite fit, so it has some very slight damage to the corners of the reel seat, visible in the 3rd photo. This doesn't affect its operation, but if you were really bothered it is possible to get it replaced by Danielsson. While it would look good in a collector's cabinet I really hope it will go to someone who will use it for its intended purpose.
