They have felt soles and are in great shape with only a few hours of use. Take a look at the felt sole closeups. They are very rugged with knee pads. A reinforced seat, and Thinsulate insulated boots. The waders sold for $239 new as you can see by the price marked on the box. This wader is made with integral neoprene suspenders having velcro closures. Each suspender has a D-ring for fastening a wading staff lanyard or other accessories. There is a large external neoprene chest pocket which has a smaller pocket inside. Plus an additional zippered security pocket for things like pills or car keys. Reel is 3 3/16 inches in diameter by 1 1/16 inches wide. Cast of a newly developed magnesium alloy the reel is extremely light weighing a mere 2.2 ounches- more than 30% lighter than comparible sized Hardy reels using traditional cast aluminum alloys. Up for auction is an Orvis Battenkill Multiplier 8/9 standard arbor fly reel made in England. The spool maybe easily and quickly removed to change right/left hand retrieve. The reel is made for 8 or 9 wt. line. It is a multiplier reel. Meaning that for each turn of the reel handle the reel turns more than once. There seem to be a couple of minor, hard for me to see scratches on the reel and it seems function perfectly. It is a heavy duty reel that only weighs 5 ozs.
