Up for sale is my Orvis HLS RM Silver Label Fly Rod. It is a 9 foot. 4 ounce, 9 weight fly rod that has served me well. The rod has normal wear character marks including some very minor abrasions around the guides but absolutely no wrap or structural damage. The rod blank between the handle and the first guide is very nice(as well as the rest of the blank) and that's important as those of us with bad eyes can actually still see that! Has 9 snake guides and 2 regular guides. The only small flaw I see on the rod is visible in picture three where there is a small piece of the cork handle(less than 1/4 inch square) missing. This does not affect the performance of the rod in any way. Also included is: One white River(Bass Pro Shops) fly reel with noticeable wear visible on the outside. However. This is a very smooth reel that has never given ... moreme any problems. I own 5 of these in various sizes and they are my favorite series as I am a novice fly angler. This is a large arbor reel that again, is scratched and not very pretty, but that is what it has done, worked hard and I haven't been the least afraid of using it as it performs great for what I have asked of it. A full reel of Scientific Anglers Mastery Series Fly Line GPX WF-9-F and backing. The tapered leader I used last and 4 foot tippet is even on the reel and tied in place. The line. Leader and tippet is used, but very usable to the purchaser as well. Essentially, you tie on the streamer or bass popper/fly of your choice and you're fishing in minutes. I will not ship this outside of the continental US- NO Alaska or Hawaii or anywhere international! I fish lighter rods now and this favorite of mine belongs on a different pond or bay somewhere. This is a unique format for a Orvis rod and it i s in very good original condition and has an aluminum reel seat with down-locking collar and ring. Black ferrules, and steel guides. All pieces are straight and full, with each bearing serial#38486. The bag and tube are original with the tube's label being 50% intact. The tube has a few dings in it. This is a 9 Ft. Orvis 8 Wt HLS fly rod in close to new condition. It comes with a fighting but. Rod sock and aluminum tube. It also has the balance of the 25 yr guarantee left, about 12 yrs. I'd estimate. I purchased new and used it perhaps 2 times as don't get a lot of chances to use 8 Wts in the Southeast. The ONLY sign of use is the cork is slightly dirty, and the rod tube has some dings. I'm selling as I have far, far too many fly rods and just haven't used it in years. Orvis Safe Passage Carry-it-all rod and gear case Fly Fishing
Keep it all together in this Very nice ORVIS rod and equipment carrier. The rod compartment is 5 feet long. 6 inches deep and 3 1/2 inches wide. The smaller reel and other equipment compartment measures 20 inches long. 5 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. There is a ring sewn on the side where you can clip you dep net. You can carry it with the handle or sling it over your shoulder. This carrier is used but has not been abused. It's in excellent condition. Take a look at my 100% feedback and buy with confidence.

Up For Auction is a really nice Estate Find in Near Mint condition. An Orvis Superfine Troutbum. 7'9" 4pce,5wt, Full Flex 4.0 fly rod. It has an Ion Cap on the graphite tube but it is not an Ion. Orvis Tube(Ion Cap) and original Orvis sleeve. Looks like it may have been used one time. This iteration is not offered in the new Touch series and it is a very popular configuration. I have cast it with both a Wulff 5wt Longbelly and an Orvis Superfine 5wt and it is a truely nice medium to medium fast action rod. Some people may prefer it as a 4 weight.
