Orvis TLS Power Matrix 906-4pc. Fly Rod
Too many fly rods(sound familiar) so this Orvis 6 weight was very lightly used as can be seen by the pictures. Great rod for big trout streams. Windy conditions, light bass, and smaller salt water species such as snappers etc. Orvis made a freshwater and a saltwater TLS 6 wt. The saltwater version which this one is has a great fighting butt for landing heavier prey. Nice case and beautiful green rod color.

Vintage ORVIS GOLDEN EAGLE fly rod 7ft. excelent
Here is an excellent ORVIS GOLDEN EAGLE fiberglass fly rod. A 7ft. 5wt. full flex trout slayer. Other then a light indention from the reel seat rings the handle is in great shape the rod was made by Phillipson for ORVIS but the hardware is all Orvis with nichle silver snake guides and tip top and ferrel. Along with a carbide stripper guide put on this beautiful green fiberglass full flex phillipson blank. Then its wrapped in a cool very dark green intermediate designs in the silk wrappings and a convenient hook keeper. A perfect rod for catching brooks in them cold mountain streams. It cast 4wt. rio gold line perfectly and the response is so smooth unlike the graphite broom sticks. Its also light enough to fight those fish all day long and not tire out. VTG 1954 ORVIS BATTENKILL 7 1/2' Bamboo Fly Rod 3 3/4 oz IMPREGNATED
If you are looking for a museum piece. Please move on to the next 7 1/2' Battenkill. If you are looking for a beautiful, chocolatey colored 60 year old Orvis that is ready to fish for another 60 years, then this is your rod. The original wraps were dried and cracked so it was re-wrapped in the correct#541 Gudebrod brown with three coats of varnish. The ferrules, winding check and tip tops were re-blued by the best man in the business- Dave Leclaire. They have a nice snug fit and the familiar pop when pulled apart. This is a sweet rod that deserves to be fished, as they cast 5 or 6 weights and are known to be great all-rounders for dry, wet and streamer fishing. You cannot find a better rod under 8' and with the impregnation, it makes them durable and waterproof for life. Comes with original tube and replacement sock. For sale is a Sage Graphite III Model GFL-590-5LL Fly Rod and Orvis Battenkill Disc 5/6. I've fished this rod maybe a dozen times in the past 15 years. I just don't get out anymore. It's in great condition. No scratches or chips and comes with the original Sage tube sock and rod tube. Front and back the reel looks great and is loaded with Scientific Anglers' Ultra3 WF-5-F line. The spool edge has some light wear and it sounds real sweet! This is Sage's older Light Line Series. It has a lovely. Unhurried and slower action reminiscent of cane rods. Yet it can still punch out a big fly out. The rod and reel will be shipped separately. I have a heavy duty mailing tube. I'll pay shipping for the reel.

Very nice custom kit-made(unmarked) Orvis Midge Battenkill 7 foot 2 inch. 2 piece, 3.0 ounce for 1 weight bamboo fly rod. Highly polished impregnated dark-flamed shafts with Orvis red wraps, nickle silver extended winding check, tarnished blackened female butt ferrule. Hand-made stripping guide, polished aluminum screw down locking band reel seat with walnut insert, robust cigar cork grip(heavily soiled) Butt section is 43.25 inches in length while tip section as normally supplied in the factory kit is 1/2 inch shorter at 42.75 inches. Ferrules are tight and"pop" when seperated, both rod sections are straight. This is a terrific ... morerod that is very fishable and will give somebody quite a few years of pleasure. It deserves to be fished rather than sit on a shelf someplace. Wraps are starting to show their age and probably should either be covered with a light coat of epoxy or re-wrapped within the next year or so. Includes generic rod sleeve, no tube. Images should provide all the information necessary to make a reasonably intelligent bid on this lot. However.
