The ... morespare spool has seen little use. It's a standard arbor design and works best for 3 or 4 weights. You could also use 2 weights due to the compact size and low weight. Both spools come with Dacron backing suitable to fit 4 weight lines. You can run a floating line on one reel and an alternate line on the other. These are simple. We'll made durable reels that can a lot of abuse. It's currently set up for left hand retrieve. But it can easily be swapped to right hand. This would also make a good back up reel. Only selling due to upgrading and deciding not to keep it in the fishing bag. I want to free up space and simplify. Look up the reel on the web to get specs. Shipping is a flat rate $8.00 to the continental US. Shipping to Alaska. Hawaii, or other outlying territories will cost a bit more. I include insurance and tracking. It has a degree of use that reminds me of the wear on my favorite old Hardy. I would describe it as between good and very good. The retrieve is right hand but very easily reversed. Vintage HARDYS ORVIS CFO IV FLY REEL
Here a vintage HARDY made ORVIS CFO lV FLY REEL this is one of the best reels I have ever fished. This reel is almost perfect I have really taken care of my stuff. HARDY went and built another piece of work from the heavy alloy frame.Brass reel foot, and line guards and went and painted it a gorgeous winter green which shows off all its brass components. This little power house has a perfect clicker drag that is a wonder to fish similer to the princes except for the tensioner but I actually like it a little better CFO. As I said its pretty much perfect except some very faint rubes around the rims. It also has a case and is 3 inches and can fish left or right handed as well there is not a lot of these around of this caliber as well and made in England by hardy for Orvis. thanks. Posted with

You're bidding on a"like new" Orvis D-XR Tarpon Disc Drag Big Game Fly reel made in the USA. This reel was possibly used once. But I don't recall. It may have been rigged up and brought out on the boat in Key West but don't recall it ever being fished. It shows no signs of wear on the reel seat or anywhere else for that matter. It also includes the original case and owners manual. It is lined with a 12 wt line, but I have no recollection of what line it is.
