Redington Predator 7' 10" 6 weight 4 pc in like new condition. I bought it last season to take to Belize as a light bonefish rod and back up to my new Winston 9' 7 wt B3SX but I only used the Winston on the trip. Since then. I let my nephew use it on a lake trip for a day or 2 but the rod is perfect in every way. You will think it is brand new! It is a wonderful small streamer rod. It would be a kick for small saltwater species. Bass, trout and pink salmon. It will certainly fish dry or set up with an indicator and a nymph and you can rip up small waters.

This rod was custom built by John Sweeney. Who ran the Redington Factory sales store. When Redington was located in Stuart, Florida before it was bought by Sage and moved to Washington, they had so many people walking into the Redington Factory wanting rods that the put a retail shop up front. John Sweeney who was one of their advisors and go to guy ran the store. He custom built this rod for a friend of his who never used it. The rod has a lot of detail and beautiful wraps. Full well and salt water friendly. It is like new, never fished. This rod is a 8 foot 6 inch, two piece, 6 weight. This rod was built on a Shakari of Oklahoma blank and finished with all Redington components. This medium action(Orvis would call it a midflex) 6 weight easily casts 55-65 feet with a 7 weight and 65-75 feet with a 6 weight. Very friendly rod. REDINGTON STANDARD ARBOR AS 11/12 WEIGHT FLY REEL GOOD SPEY ROD REEL
This is a Redington AS(standard arbor) 11/12 weight gold fly reel. This is a refurbished reel. It has a few minor scratches but is in excellent mechanical condition. Redington sold over 40 thousand of the AL and AS model machined anodized reels until the company was sold and Orvis put into the contract that the reels had to be discontinued so they did not compete with their reels. This reel holds 350 yards of 30 pound backing with a 12 weight line. Set for left hand retrieve but can be reversed. I have landed 125 pound tarpon on my AL 11/12. This is a good reel for a spey or double handed rod.

This is a Redington DFR. 9 foot 12 weight, 3 piece fly rod. This rod is used but in very good condition. There are some slight surface scratches but nothing that would impair the ability of this rod to catch some big fish. This was a top of the line Redington fly rod. Materials made in S. California, shipped to New Zealand where Composite Development built the blank and then sent back to the US where Dave Redington finished building the rod with top of the line components. This pure graphite helically wound rod is fast and friendly. I have one I use to fish for tarpon and have landed them up to 125 pounds on it. For sale is my super sweet Redington Voyant 9ft 5wt Fly Rod. It is not even half a year old but I must part with it after getting a higher end 5wt Sage Rod as a gift. I would love to keep this one but the wife wouldn't have it! I am including a really nice. Unbranded light weight, large arbor anodized smoke colored, cnc machined aluminum reel. I purchased this reel at the same time I bought the rod, so it too, is less than 6 months old. I will also include a nice black pvc/cordura Redington rod tube with dividers as well. The rod and reel are in great functional condition and have a few minor scuffs on the aluminum butt off the rod. And on the edges of the reel/spool from river rock. This rod saw the river only 5 times and was used primarily on the shore of a small pond once a week or so, so wear and tear is minimal and the combo looks ... moregreat otherwise. I tried my best to capture the scuff marks in the photos. I bought this rod after some stellar recommendation from experienced friends and after reading a few stellar reviews. I was honestly. Never disappointed. It feels powerful for a 5wt. I am able to double haul tight accurate loops with it to 70ft and cast size 18 dries, delicately with it. I caught everything from 5lbs large mouth, 16inch browns and countless bluegill that all felt so sweet on this rod. This fit and finish may not be as fine as $800 rod, but blind folded, I think it feels just as good. The reel is an unbranded nice quality reel with a modern drag system. I got on ebay from china(guess where most of our fine"American" reels are made) The anondized smoke color matches the smoke colored hardware in the reel seat really nicely. I've gotten a few stream side compliments on this combo. Btw, the reel has a large arbor design but is light weight. I feel rod and reel are a perfect balance.
