I got it out of a storage auction but it appears to be in almost perfect condition. It was well taken care of. The vest is a large. The nets are in working condition also well taken care of. Sage GFL 279-2 LL Fly Rod Factory Rod in Excellent Condtion
This Sage GFL 279-2 LL is from my personal collection. I had high hopes in fishing this rod a lot more than I did. This rod is in great condition for its age. The original tube and sock are included in the auction. It is a"used" rod that is in great condition and has been barely fished. Despite its age the blank exhibits a couple surface scratches as show in picture 4. These scratches do not affect the action of the rod. The cork on the cigar shaped grip is in very good shape. Showing very little wear. There are some small surface/cosmetic scratches to the wood barrel of the reel seat, but does not affect the function of the reel seat. The tube has some scratches in the paint in various places but is in good shape. The original cloth sack is in good condition. Though very lightly used. This rod should perform as it was originally ... moreintended. Sage Light Line rods, despite their age, are amongst the favorites of anglers who like moderate action rods that cast well and can make delicate presentations. The rod comes with the original rod tube and the reel seat foot conversion kit and spare clicker for reel. One of the finest graphite rods I have ever owned with a smooth medium action. Sage Spey Fly Rod VXP 12' 5 weight 5120-4
Up for auction is a Sage VXP spey rod. 12' 5 weight that when looked at, apprears in"like new" condition. I used it twice casting in the back yard so I can't say the rod is new. It has never seen water. There is 1 micro surface blemish on a male ferrule on handle section(you have to look closely, camera won't show it) from putting together and the cork is slightly soiled, otherwise the rod is in great condition.

Here is a Sage FLi 476-4 Fly Rod. It is 7'6" long and weighs 3 1/8 OZ. It handles a 4 weight line beautifully. It comes with its original case. The rod is in excellent condition. It was mainly my small stream and river rod in Shenandoah Park and its surrounds and was great for poppers in ponds and both wet and dry flies. I also landed a 12 pound carp on this rod drifting nymphs in the Shenandoah River while fishing for smallmouth. It is versatile and is a pleasure to use. I have also had 50 Hickory Shad days in the Potomac with this rod using a sinking line. I purchased this rod new from Anglers Lie in Arlington.Virginia about 8-10 years ago. Used Sage SP Fly Rod. 6 weight, 2 Piece, 9 foot. The rod is in good condition and doesn't look like it was fished much. There is some slight discoloration to the cork handle, and there are a few scratches on the rod. The most notable scratch is a spot between eyelet 3 and 4 from the top, it looks like a fly rubbed the protective coating a little. It's too small to photograph. Considering its age. This rod is in great shape. Unfortunately, I don't have the original carrying tube or sock, only what is shown in the picture: a kind of old and beat up rod/reel combo tube and a green sock.
