You are looking at a St. Croix imperial in 9ft 5wt. it is a 2 piece custom build. It is in nearly perfect condition. Only sign of wear is light soiling on the cork from the one weekend trip that I took it on 2 weeks ago. I'm also including my otto's bighorn 3/5 reel. It is used but in nearly perfect condition as well. no sign of wear. It is strung up with backing and a 5wt sage floating nymph taper line with high vis orange indicator tip. Which is also included. It comes with a hard PVC tube case for the rod and a neoprene pouch for the reel.

The older Sage 506 Fly Reel& Spare Spool being auctioned here are in fair used-condition ... moregiven their obvious age. Well-cared for by its previous owner but no doubt intensively fished, this 6/7wt set subsequently displays the signs of cosmetic wear and tear one would naturally expect in a piece that's been avidly employed. As evidenced in the photos. There are some moderate scratches, scrapes and"rock rash" to be aware of around the reel's rimmed edges and periphery. While the engraved reel face remains largely free from any major dents, dings or bruising, do please note that the center black spindle cap is missing. As is often the case with these popular vintage reels. Lost while fishing many seasons ago, there is some light rust that has subsequently started forming around the hex-nut lug(please see pics) Though no longer bright and shiny like it once was new. The machined aluminum reel foot remains straight and tight, and despite some modest scratching, no excessive wear or tear was noted. A close inspection of the reel's interior reveals all pieces of the adjustable spring-and-pawl drag system still intact. With no noteworthy wear witnessed to the checks, sprocket or spindle. Sage GFL 590 DS / Sage 106M reel
I bought this rod new 90s. For my wife she never got into it and it has seen little use,maybe 3 or 4 times on the water. There might be the slightest scuff here and there and the cork is slightly dirty but, all in all, in excellent+ condition. The DS models have soared in popularity since being discontinued. This is a really nice all around 9' 5wt rod. Comes with correct sock and tube. With Sage model 106M reel that was made in Redditch, England.

It has been at least 40 years since I used a fly rod and have never had the privledge of using one of this quality, so most of the information I am providing came from reading right off the equipment or from on-line research. The rod and reel probably date ... morefrom the 1980s and represent about the best quality that could be had at the time- and would be hard to better even now. The RPLB designation indicates that this was a Sage blank that was custom wrapped. It appears to me that the wrapping was done beautifully. There are virtually no signs of use or wear on this equipment. Everything seems to work as it should and the only cosmetic defect is a little chipping around the area where the two sections of the rod join. If you have any questions about these items. Offered for sale is a Near Mint Sage 707 large arbor fly reel with extra spool- Loop of Sweden was the manufacture in the late 1980's. The reel is nearly flawless and comes with and extra spool. There are a couple teeny tiny paint marks on the reel but these are very small and hardly noticeable. I was told the reel was used once or twice steelhead fishing in Oregon. The reel is designed to fish a 7 weight line and used on a 7-8 weight fly rod. The reel was found in an unmarked seude leather reel case as seen in the pictures-the extra spool was found inside the previous owners fly vest and has no leather case. The reel has a sinking line marked on the spool Ultra F/S 8 weight STEELHEAD and a floating line on the extra spool that has no ID label. Used Sage 506L Plus Spare Spool Fly Reel Made By Hardy
Up for auction is a used Sage 506L Fly Reel made by Hardy plus spare spool in original suede pouches. This reel is in excellent condition. There are a few knicks on the outside rim as shown in the pictures. The reel comes with SA Air Cel Supreme WF6F plus 150 yards 20lb test backing. The diameter is 3 5/8" It is set up for left hand wind but can be easily converted. This and everything I have listed is guaranteed authentic. I am always happy to combine shipping.
