The rod comes with a beautiful handle and a stunning matching wood reel seat. A folding hook keeper is present on the rod. The sale includes a rod bag. This rod had little use and I am the original owner. I had several seven weight rods so I hope you enjoy it. The rod is rated as a seven weight but could be fished on line rating either up or down. This is a Sage graphite baitcasting rod model B366GSP. It has 7 Fuji guides and Fuji tip top. Fuji Reel seat, and Fuji casting trigger. The rod is a 2 piece and is supposed to be 6'6" in length, but the previous owner extended the butt to make it 6'10" in length. You can see in photo#12 the extension using another piece of rod and foam. Butt measures 10 inches with extension. Rod performs perfect, and I would rate it as medium-medium light. RARE! Rod is in near perfect condition. One of the first graphite rods made by Don Green after he left Fenwick and started selling Sage brand rods under the Winslow Manufacturing name from 1978 to 1980. Serial number is A2012. Rod is 6 wt. 8' 6" Fish some history. Prized by collectors. This“first generation” Sage graphite rod still has many years of fishing left. By today’s standards. The action is softer and buttery smooth. Spectacular for dry fly presentation. It is smooth and soft like glass or bamboo. But with the backbone of graphite to get that extra distance without effort. This rod is near perfect. Especially for its age. Rod is red-brown with no cracks in the finish. All graphics are intact. Cork is in good condition. Cleaned after each use. I think reel seat is Brazilian rosewood. Minor cosmetic scratches on bottom of reel ... moreseat end cap from normal fishing. The reason I am selling it is due to the fact I have so many Rods that I just don't have any more room, plus I haven't fished it in a few seasons. I only take it down to wipe it off and keep the line Stretched and reel Lubed. It has Brand New 9 WT WF 10ft sink-tip Type IV line with braided loop connectors from fly line to Backing ... moreand Fly line to leader. As you can see from the pictures it is in great condition. Cork has always been clean an wiped down as well as the Rod and Reel. There are the normal light if any fishing scratches on the rod and reel as you would expect, only cosmetic. The ferrules fit tight and there is no play in the connection what so ever. I couldn't even begin to tell you all the Stripers, Walleye, and Giant Browns I've caught on this Set up across the country. She is ready to fish and cast like a dream. All you need is a leader, fly, and a river with some fish. Bronze color, serial number is X-16145 and comes with a TEMPLE FORK OUTFITTERS velvetine sock that I bought at a local fly shop to protect the rod. There is no tube but you can pick them up reasonably. The sock is for an 4 PC 8'9" flyrod so its a tiny bit short and I am including a picture of the rod in the sock but it will be fine that way. I just did not want to get this rod damaged during shipment or later in use. The rod is in Excellent plus condition, The rod has a dark bronze finish that is shown in the pictures but they don't capture the colors like the eye can. Beautiful Fly Rod!
