It has some light marking to the reel seat wood from putting reels on it(see pics) I have lawn cast this a few times but have not fished it. Really nice all around fly rod and great for travel with the 5 piece configuration. Comes with original sock and tube. Very well cared for. Edit- Just a note- In the pics the grip looks more discolored from handling than it really is. I just noticed it looks darker than it is in the photos. I have no reason to doubt that. The blank. Cork handle, rings, whippings and reel fittings are all immaculate. Never seen a better example. This rod is easily good enough for a collector or of course for an angler. Complete with black Sage rod bag and an alloy rod tube with a Sage logo. Up for your consideration is this Nice Sage SLT 5 wt. 2 pc. fly rod. The rod is 2 pc and 9 ft long and is very light and weights 31/16 ounces. The rod is in great condition. It has a small scratch just above cort handle. The ferruels and guides are all in fabulous condition. It also comes with original rod metal tube. Sock and end cap. The sock is new and not original and end cap has been replaced. As you see in last picture the tube has a dent and a couple other small scratch's. A nice 5 wt. sage rod that is a top of the line rod. Some people say that is is one of the best that sage ever made. It has a nice delicate presentation and can still push them thru the wind. THANKS

This is a Sage SP 890-3 Graphite IV fly rod in great used condition. This rod is for a#8 wt. line. And is 9'0" and weighs 3 9/16 oz. The rod itself looks unused save for a little darkening of the cork. There are no nicks, scratches, or corrosion on the rod. The reel seat is unblemished as well. However, though it looks it, this is not a new rod and in fact I caught a number of salmon with it just last year. I just have a"few" too many rods that never seem to get used and I am selling some to make room to buy more rods I don't already own) This probably makes sense to some of you out there. Anyway. Here is a great factory rod with sock& tube ready to be used and not stored away. The tube and sock are in good condition. This is an immaculate Sage 12 weight custom graphite fly rod. This is a custom made rod from the mid 1980's and one of the first sage rods. I inherited it and as far as I know. It has been used very little.The cork is clean, and the reel seat is immaculate. As far as i can tell there are no scratches or marks. This is a beautiful tarpon rod.

This is the shortest RPL that was made and would make a killer spring creek rod. It may have a light scuff or two. But definately nothing that affects the integrity.
