Scientific Anglers MASTERY 6/7 FLY Fishing REEL. Made In ENGLAND For 6 7 WT Rods Up for sale is this gently used Scientific Anglers Mastery Series 6/7 fly reel. Including original neoprene case, paperwork, and box. The reel was made in England I believe by Hardy in about the mid to late 1990s period. It is precision machined from bar stock aluminum and hard anodized a matte black color. The reel has a strong disc drag system, and will hold 200 yds. of 20 lb. dacron backing with a WF7F line. The reel is in very nice shape. There are a couple of little finish nicks along the edge of the back plate. And anodizing flaws where the foot is attached to the frame. Otherwise the cosmetics and mechanics are excellent. The reel is spooled with backing and a Scientific Anglers Mastery Series XPS WF-6-F fly line. The line is an older model, but may still ... morehave some life left in it. Retrieve is currently left hand, but can be converted to right(instructions in the manual) With the reel comes the neoprene case, original paperwork, and box. Scientific Anglers System Five fiberglass fly rod. Wonderful true five weight fly rod that is a joy to cast. The SA System fly rods are really great fishing tools. The System Five is the best of the bunch. All photographs are of the actual fly rod. Tube and bag. One of the wraps on the tip section is darker than the other guide wraps which may be from rewrapping. Casting and fishing not at all influenced.
