This is an Excellent Condition SCOTT S3S 906-4 Saltwater Fly Rod. A 9 foot/ 6 weight/ 4 pieces Saltwater/ Salmon/ Bass ready fly rod with full wells grip in little USED condition. It's a beefy SCOTT 6wt fly rod with spigot/ ferrule joint connections that many prefer for a"sweet casting" fly rod. Well you're looking at this advertisement and most likely already know its virtues. I have bunch of"Salty" 6wt fly rods so I'm turning this little used rod loose. I like this older version Scott rod as they are versatile rugged saltwater fishing tools. I like them a lot! Most fly fishers know that this rod is more of a 7wt rod than a true 6wt. I found it cast Wulff Triangular Taper 7wt Intermediate line"with authority" casting the whole line 100' Clean guides. Reel seat in mint condition with the cork ... moreonly handled in brief lawn casting sessions. The only wear(more of a cosmetic blemish) you'll find on this rod is just above a mid rod snake guide. As the pictures show there is a minor build up of what seems to be epoxy over the rod finish.It's as if they started a rod wrap and changed their mind/ location. So it's not really a rub and could probably be removed or"glossed over with rod coating. But a cosmetic blemish all the same. The rest of the rod is pretty minty. The numerous pictures tell the story. This is an NO FRILLS AUCTION- No warranty card- No Scott Rod tube or sock. JUST THE FLY ROD PICTURED. Vintage SCOTT Fiberglass Fly Rod 2 pc 8ft 4 wt -- RARE ! EXCELLENT COND!
This is a beautiful Scott fiberglass rod. It is a two-piece 8ft for 4wt line. I purchased the rod new in the 70's. And it is in superb condition. It's serial# is 79- 2731. There is no sun damage; all ferrules and wrappings are excellent; and the grip has no damage. The rod doesn't even appear to have any scuffs or scratches! If you know glass. And the quality of the Scott glass rods, in particular, then you know how great this rod fishes! It has good punch in the throw, and a wonderful tip section that graphite can never duplicate. The rod comes in it's original case. I believe that its sheath is also original. Though it does not say Scott on it. If you have any questions. PLEASE ask before you bid, as I do not accept returns. Up For Auction is a very nice Scott 5 Piece G' Series Graphite Fly rod with Spigot Ferrules. The rod has been well used but is in Excellent condition with very minor scratches to the blank. The cork grip shows the rod was used quite a bit but the owner obviously treated the rod with a lot of respect. The butt plate of the cap and ring shows minimal wear. Serial number 152301 is handwritten on each section. Ferrule fit is perfect. This is a nice rod. G' series rods were and continue to be Scott's flagship rod. It has and still does involve a lot of handwork in their construction using'Spigot Ferrules' which must be hand fitted. Up for auction is a Scott Fly Rod G2 9 foot 4pc 4wt. Rod is a dream. It has a soft action and is great for dry flies and nymphing. Took the rod to Colorado a few years ago and it was perfect for high mountain lakes and small creeks I waded. I also fished this rod almost exclusively for a year on the Little Red here in Arkansas. I got a taste of throwing streamers and this rod has just gathered dust since. It is ideal for light tippets. Rod has plenty of forgiveness once you get a big fish on with light tippet and the rod also feels really good with a 10" fish on as well. I was getting a little depressed when I was taking the pictures to list this thing. There is plenty of space where the ferrules fit together. And the cork has only the average amount of wear from the half dozen times it was fished. Scott A3 switch rod *BROKEN* 11' 8wt spey rod fly fishing rod
This rod was given to me by the Scott Rods Rep in Montana. Unfortunately i broke it before i really got the opportunity to use it. I never had a warranty for it but it shouldn't cost more than $100 to get it fixed. Its an 11ft. 8wt A3 Switch rod. The female sleeve ferrule for the top piece is snapped. There are plenty of photos here. I'm a fishing guide and commercial fly tyer on the Hoh River in Washington State. For sale is a custom made Scott G882 fly rod. It's 8' 8" long and two piece. This is one of the original Scott G series rods and considered one of their best. The G's used and un-sanded blank and a spigot ferule system. This particular rod is built with a down locking Struble D2 real seat with a teak wood spacer and blued nickel silver hardware. There is some tarnish on the nickel hardware that will clean up if desired. I personally like the way it looks so I haven't cleaned it. Scott Vintage Blank 8ft 6wt (3 piece) Fiberglass Fly rod
Up for auction is a Scott Vintage Fiberglass Fly Rod. This rod was custom built by Shane Gray of Graywolf fly rods in 2011. The build is of the highest quality. If you are unfamiliar with Shane's work just google him and see his work and reviews. The rod is 8 foot 3 piece 6wt. The rod has a medium to slightly fast action. It is a very capable all around trout rod. The rod will handle all but the largest streamers. It throws large dries like a dream. I.e. Hoppers, Drakes& Hex's.
