I bought this rod brand new and it has been very well cared for. I have way too many two handed rods and this is the one I can always cast the farthest. It shoots line like no other. It is rated by Winston for a 430-469 grain line. I would stay in that grain window for a Scandi line but for Skagit lines it really comes to life with a 480 or 510 grain line. 20 to 24 feet long. Winston marks the rod a 6/7wt written on the rod, but written on the cap to the tube it's designated as a 6wt. This rod is more than enough for any steelhead you'll ever catch. It's truly a fantastic rod. Comes with rod. Sock and tube.

The top of the cork foregrip also has a coating of epoxy for durability. Note that the rod tube in the photo is for a G-Loomis rod. But fits this rod fine. 13ft 6in Custom Float Centerpin Spey Rod
I'm selling a custom make float fishing(centerpin) rod made by Cal West Custom Rods. It was designed for float fishing. Its a gorgeous rod with custom wrapping and what I think is a burl wood reel seat. The issue is that its a bit heavy for float fishing. In my opinion, and I never ended up using it. It's never seen the water, but I don't see myself using it, so I'm putting a low price on it and hoping that someone can find a better use for it than I could. I don't see why you couldn't use it as a spey rod, but that's up to the new owner. It will be shipped in a nice St. Croix rod case I bought for it.

It features an anodized aluminum reel seat with a cork fighting butt. This rod has some light scratches. Most notable on the ferrules. The cork is a touch dirty but in terrific shape. Spey Rod + Reel Setup *almost* ready to swing steelhead
This is a spey setup that has*almost* everything you need to start swinging spey flies for steelhead. It includes. Temple Fork Outfitters 12'6'6wt Professional Series Spey-Orvis Mach IV Large Arbor reel-Rio Flight Skagit head- 425 gr-Rio Powerflex shooting line-Rod tube(no sock. Sorry) Reel Case I inherited the rod& reel from my father. Who didn't use it as much as he anticipated. In fact, he never used it once. Luckily, it was passed on to me, and I gave it a solid workout over the last 2 years. It has caught lots of steelhead in west michigan(probably around 15 fish) Now its time for an upgrade. It was a great starter rod for me. And one I will miss very much. The rod has somewhat of a slower action(flex) which really allowed me to figure out the proper timing on certain spey casts. The 425 skagit head matches up very nicely ... moreto the rod. Within the first hour of using it, I was throwing nice loops nearly 40 yards down river. Its a very forgiving rod. But, just like a golf swing, timing and rythem are citical. It's a great little rod. Probably not a great option for huge rivers, but it's perfect for medium sized drainages. As far as the reel. I haven't had a single issue with it. It's nice and sturdy, and built like a rock. I especially like the widened knob. I'm honestly surprised more reel manufacturers don't install them today, they are awesome. Drag is great, very consistent. The numbers on the drag knob have worn off, but thats not a huge deal. Nobody reads those numbers in the heat of battle anyway. Sealed disc drag, machined aluminum, large arbor, easy left/right conversion, etc etc. Other than the rod& reel. I've got the Rio Flight Skagit series on it, as well as Rio shooting line(99% sure its Powerflex) It's a 425 gr head, which is right in the'window' for this particular rod.
