Amazing Swedish engineered fly reel! The Orvis Lord II was made by a Swedish engineer Morner in the 1970's and only sold by Orvis for a couple of years. The last year Orvis sold them was 1981. It is a MULTIPLYING retrieve of 1: 2.14 and has a very unique drag system in which the drag is incorporated in to the knob with infinite control with out removing your hand from the knob. Apparently the engineer Morner will accept these reels for maintenance and dexterity reversal for shipping costs only although this reel is in perfect condition and needs nothing. It is made from aluminum and stainless steel which will hold up for a lifetime. You can go to classic fly rod forum and do a search for Orvis Lord or Morner and find first hand experience from owners of this unique reel. This is the larger version with a 4" diameter.1 3/16" ... morewidth, weighing 8.1 oz. It has a capacity of WF9 +220 yards 20 lb backing-or- WF11 + 130 yards of 30 lb. backing. Rio Scandi fly spey switch 34' 480GR head w Shooting line and Airflo Leader
The head is 34' and 480 grains. I had it on an 11' 8wt loomis switch and it was perfect. I had to sell the rod and so the line goes too. Great for swinging and indicators. The Rio head sells for $56. EX-DEMO DIAWA SALMON FLY SPEY CASTING SPECIAL 15’ ROD Amorphous-Whisker Osprey MK II 3-Piece double-handed rod casting a 9-11 line Made in Scotland for Diawa This very functional double-handed 15ft carbon fibre salmon fly rod with an AFTM rating of 9-11 is an ex-demonstration Spey casting rod and. Having owned a Diawa Whisker myself can genuinely recommend it. The carbon is in perfect condition with no breaks/repairs etc. In fact carbon fibre when it breaks tends to shred and the only thing to do is throw the rod away. Having once slammed a car door on a carbon rod I can certainly vouch for that! The varnish over the bottom section of the rod has flaked here& there so needing a re-varnish at some point. The top two sections are fine. It has a diamond design within the carbon. The rings show no sign of wear with no grooves in the ceramic ... moreinserts. The two larger rings on the bottom section have unblemished ceramic inserts as does the end tip ring. The remaining 12 rings. On the top two sections, are either chromed stainless steel or silicon carbide, and in near mint condition. See Photos. It has the customary Diawa reel fitting being a Fuji"quality product" screw mount and is in perfect condition. There are 15" of unworn corks above the reel fitting and a further 6" below the fitting down to the butt end chrome fitting and knob. Other than the Diawa'Made in Scotland' logo label just above the corks the other information written on the rod is: Amorphous-Whisker Osprey MKII Salmon fly Spey Casting Special AWF 15A 15' 9-11 A little further up the rod is printed. Slightly indistinctly: DEMONSTRATION ROD. All deep crimson ring whippings are original and don't need replacing being in excellent condition. I have taken it for a‘try-out’ with my own#10 floating line and it cast beautifully– not being on a river was unable to try Spey-casting but would have every confidence in it. It came. Sage TCX 12'6 7 wt 4-piece Spey Rod "The Deathstar" for Fly Fishing
For auction is a factory built Sage TCX 12'6" 7 weight 4 piece spey rod. Deemed the"Deathstar" It boasts Sage proprietary Generation 5 Technology and weighs 7 5/8 ounces. It features a Kryponite Green blank. A nickel colored reel seat, and goldenrod/garnet thread wraps. The TCX line of fly rods define precision. Power, and feel. This rod is in decent condition. It's been fished hard and shows wear as a result. The cork handles and reel seat are in good shape. The rod blank has two places where the green finish has rubbed off from boats rides. See pics. Also. Two of the three female ferrule connections are slightly cracked. It doesn't appear to be fully compromised, but if the ferrules come loose while casting they could break over time, like any fly rod would. As with any Sage rod. It has a lifetime warranty. This ... morerod is ready to fish and if/when there is a problem, Sage will fix it for $50. This TCX 7126-4 7 wt is an excellent Steelhead or Atlantic Salmon rod when paired with a Skagit or Scandi line. Pacific Salmon and Sea Run Browns are also at risk when this rod is in tow. It has plenty of horsepower to deliver a sink-tip and big fly. This rod is legendary among the Spey community. It's light. Ultra-fast, and a joy to fish. The Beulah Platinum Series 13'2" ... more4pc 7wt Spey rod being auctioned here naturally shows some signs of light cosmetic wear or tear that one would expect in a rod that's seen occasional use. As evidenced in the photos. The upper and lower cork grips show a modest bit of staining from previous handling, but remain overall, refreshingly void of any major chips, gouges, or excessive missing fill. Still bright and shiny like it was when first purchased. The sturdy up-locking reel seat still looks great, and was confirmed to still function perfectly too. A close review of the rod's glossy black blank from tip to butt reveals the typical light scrapes and scuffs in the expected high-traffic areas. But no signs of catastrophic abuse like deep scratches, scores, or penetrating nicks were found that would in any way hint the rod's original strength or integrity as compromised. While a close inspection of the rod's guides revealed no trace of tarnish. Rusting or oxidization present, it does appear that one of the rod's wire snake guides was mildly deformed at one time(see detailed pics! Sage 7126-4 TCX "DeathStar"/Abel Super 10 complete spey setup
This auction if for a complete ready to fish spey setup. I fished this rig a lot over the last two years before having to move from steelhead waters. As such it does have some wear which I will describe. And tried to show accuratly in the photos. It is all cosmetic and everything is in perfect working order. The rod is a Sage 12'6" 4 piece TCX. It shows normal wear expected of a used rod. Some wear in the cork. And slight scratches in the finish on the blank(mostly all where the ferrulls fit together) Finish on the rod tube is also worn from doing its job and protecting the rod. The reel is a limited edition Abel Super 10. This reel was a limited release from Western Rivers Conservancy. It has some nicks and scratches on the spool edge and on the bottom of the cage. The line on the reel currently is a 550 gr Royal Wulff Ambush. Also ... moreincludes a 510 gr and 550 gr Rio Steelhead Scandi heads as well as a 575 gr Rio Skagit Flight. If using the heads you will need a running line as the ambushes is integrated. The backing is 30lb Dacron and is fine just a little dirty. The leader wallet contains just about every tip you ever need. It has a complete set of Rio 10ft versileaders from floating all the way to 7ips sink plus 1 extra floating leader. Also includes a complete set of Rio medium MOW tips. From 10ft floating all the way to 12.5ft of T11. plus 10ft and 12.5ft heavy T14 Mow tips. Thanks for looking.

This rod was one of three built by Glenn Brackett in the 90’s. I’ve owned it for a few years. Lawn cast it a few times but the river I usually fish is a treacherous Oregon stream and frankly was afraid I would destroy it. So, since I’m not likely to fish it myself as I’m not as sure on my feet as I used to be, I’m going to part with it in hope that whomever purchases this rod will realize how special it is, and bless it with a fish. All sections are straight and true. No dings or scratches. There is a“prototype” mark under the varnish as pictured. It is not a dent. LOOP Multi 10130-4 Spey Rod
Loop Multi 9/10- This is my British Columbia big Steelhead and Salmon rod. It is smooth casting and works with all tempos. The rod is in good shape but does have a scratched up area a few inches long on the side of tip section between the first and second snake guide. This is likely from riding in the boat up and down the Dean and Skeena rivers. The rod is sound and should fish for many years. It also has a custom thread weave on the butt section of a Doc Ski salmon pattern. This was incorporated into as part of the logo of my favorite lodge. BC West. It is a nice piece of“thread art” It can be removed.
