Sage Z-Axis 11 foot 5 weight Switch Rod Comes with Rod Sock and Sage Original Rod Tube Original Retail Price $715.00 This is a USED Sage Z-Axis 5110-4(11 foot 5 weight 4 piece) switch rod. They no longer make this model. You will pay $850.00 to buy either of the rods that have replaced the Z axis(TCX or ONE) Sage also does not make 11 foot switch rods anymore. Anything longer than 11 feet is not really a switch rod but just a short spey rod. This rod can easily be used for single hand overhead casting or line it up with a spey line and cast it two handed! The rod has been used and has some cosmetic imperfections. The cork is in fantastic shape and has NO cracks or chips. It is darkened slightly by use but is in otherwise great shape. The reel seat has a small 1 milimeter scratch where you can see some silver through the black but the scratch ... moreis very small. There is some small cosmetic scratching on the butt section but nothing that imacts the integrity of the rod. The top wrap on the butt section has some discoloration on one side. I do not know what caused the discoloration but the thread is lighter on one side(visible in pictures 6 and 8) The next section up from the butt section is in great shape. Section 3 has some minor scratching as does the butt section and the top guide wraps have similar discoloration to the butt section. The tip section is in great shape. The rod tube is in good shape but has several stickers on it from shipping. This rod casts like a champ. If you are looking for a TRUE switch rod this is your rod. This is a Scott ARC 1007/4(10ft 7wt) single hand/switch fly rod. It is used but in great shape. The blank looks great. And the cork has only the average amount of wear from the half dozen times it was fished. The rod tube has a fair amount of scuffing on it from sliding other tubes in and out of a rod bucket around it. I have pictured the worst scuffing areas in the photos. Powell Tiboron 1107-4 7wt switch rod
For sale is an original Powell Tiboron switch rod which was part of the pre 2002 product line manufactured in Rancho Cordova. Ca. The rod has been lightly used at the casting ponds. But never taken fishing. I added lead tape to the butt section to balance out the rod for scandi heads and covered it with tennis racket tape as shown on the pictures. I also used to tape up the rod to avoid twisting during casting. I have since stopped doing that and cleaned up the ferrules. But there may still be slight residue on the blank. Comes with original warranty card. However that has more collectors value.

G.Loomis GLX FR138 8/9 switch rod
Lightly used 3 peice switch/spey rod. Hasn't been fished in last 5 years. I bought this rod in 2006 as a demo at the Portland rod and gun show. It is mostly carbon build with plenty of punch through its delivery in a spey casting or single hand cast. There is no noticable wear or dings on the sections and comes with a cordura G.Loomis case and sock. I mostly used it single hand and went to a longer spey rod about 5 years ago thus its non use. Rod is 11'6" 8/9 weight and can handle BIG fish but is super light weight and in very good condition.

Bought this switch rod brand new in November of 2013 from 5th Ave Orvis Store in Manhattan. Rod performed beautifully fishing for Great Lakes Steelhead this past fall. Was used for 2 outings. Light enough to high stick and operate as one hand rod while also able to two hand cast and swing flies like a Spey rod- this is the advantage of a Switch Rod. Very versatile. Really beautiful steelhead/salmon rod from Montague Rods. All sections are straight and same length. No breaks or cracks. Ferrules are in beautiful shape too. They pop when you separate the sections and fit properly. Reel seat and removable fighting butt are in great shape. Some patina on the cork. But not bad for a vintage rod. Ready to fish with confidence. Just need to consolidate some of my stuff, or I wouldn't part with it. Would look and fish great with a vintage Hardy reel.
