There are some minor surface scratches, scrapes and light rubs present along reel and spool's rimmed edges and face, but nothing beyond what one would expect in reel that's seen occasional use over the years. Structurally and mechanically sound throughout. A quick testing of the reel's adjustable cork-disc drag confirms smooth increasing tension throughout its entire range with no stutter, stick or hesitation noted, and the anti-reverse function still performs flawlessly too. A careful disassembly and thorough inspection of the reel's interior confirms all parts still perfectly intact and fully serviceable with no excessive residue build up. I am a disabled Veteran. A member of and volunteer instructor for the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Program at the Long Beach Casting Club in Long Beach, CA. A long time club member recently gave to our project director a large lot of fly fishing gear to sell to generate funds for our program. I'm tasked with selling the items. This Tibor"Freestone" reel is used but it's hard to tell as it's in very nice condition. There are some very minor scuff marks on the"gold" side of the reel that do not show up in the photo(sorry, but I'm a much better fly fisher then photographer) but nothing that should be considered damage. This is a Billy Pate Tibor Bonefish fly fishing reel in anti-reverse with right hand retrieve. I bought it thinking I would use it for steelhead. But at this point don't need it. They are designed for 7, 8, or 9 weight lines with appropriate backing. The anti-reverse is designed to protect those knuckles during fast runs from fish like the Bonefish it is named for. It is in very good used condition with some very minor rim rash that I tried to show in the second to last photo. There is also some light scratching on the back which is shown in the photo of the back(last photo) Comes with factory neoprene case which is in pretty good shape with the camoflague lining. This is an awesome reel. No fish too big for this reel! Black on black. Backing included. Only been used twice. You would have to look closely to even see the faint hairline scratches. I would keep it but I'm not going off-shore fishing for marlin or tarpons or anything that would even come close to getting on this reel so I'd rather get something a bit smaller. Leland Upgrade and the items we sell have a standard of quality and information these items simply fall below. We can't risk selling something broken, or mislabeled. Many people would sell these off individually and someone with time may even make some money doing the research, cleaning, fixing some of the items in the lot. Either the frame or spool was dented. Parts missing, etc. However, some items just had too low of a value for us to sell individually OR we didn't want to do the research to find the exact size of the spool or didn't have a frame to test it on to make sure it rotated smoothly.
