I came across this reel when trading for a 73lb Rocna anchor a few months ago. It is in like-new condition and I have never tried it. It has line on it. But I don't know what size. It has not yet been engraved, and this appears to be easily done by removing the semi-circular tab and bringing the plate to a sports/engraving shop. The reel comes with the black neoprene case, as shown in the photos. It appears to be the“Hasas Prim Citera” model, and was built in 2013. This instrument is tuned in an open tuning of G& C. There are two courses of fretted strings(the frets are in a major scale pattern) one 4-course and one 3-course. All tuned in unison. There are nine drone strings– three double courses, and three individual ... moredrones. Total length is about 25.5 inches. It is tuned with autoharp-style pins(tuning wrench included) These zithers were popular instruments in Hungary in the late 19th& early 20th century. Its exact origin is unknown. But its form and structure are similar to old Austrian& German zithers. You can also see the resemblance to American lap/Appalachian dulcimers, though this is a more complex instrument. A padded soft case and tuning wrench are included. As well as an instructional booklet. The instrument has been barely used and is in near-mint condition. TIBOR TAILWATER FLY REEL WITH SUPER MODIFIED DRAG AND NICE 5WT LINE
First time I hooked up with a 20" fat rainbow in the river. After the initial set I began to increase the drag until it was fully engaged and she just kept swimming away. That was rather annoying so I took the spool off and found a couple of things. One was that the reel was way over lubricated and the greasy lubricant was wicking up onto the drum and cork drag material. See third photo to see the innards. Solution was to clean out all the excess lubricant and clean the cork and drum with a solvent to remove all the residue. Then gradually work some Neasfoot oil into the cork. That helped a bit, but I was still not satisfied with the resisitance. Replaced spring in the drag system with a stronger spring, Bingo. The drag would bring the spool to almost a complete stop, and had a much wider range of adjustment from Freespooling to almost ... morestopped. Don't know why Tibor doesn't build them that way to begin with. I will include the original spring with the reel, and it is a simple operation if you want it changed back to the original set up. The reel is lined with 5wt floating line, and is in very good to excellent condition

There's several light scratches on the face and edge of the frame and some minor rash dings on the edge of the spool. There's also a touch of controlled corrosion on the inside of the spool by the handle screw. Besides that. The reel looks good and works perfectly(recently checked out and serviced at Tibor) I'd grade the condition a 8.7 out of 10. An unusual prodigy who debuted with Nikisch at 12, she maintained a long and distinguished career. She is also famous for the theft of her Stradivarious violin, which happened shortly before her death. This is a fine signed program booklet, folded so that the program page is now the cover, for a Philadelphia Orchestra concert of April, 1959. Morini played the Tchaikovsky Concerto. I purchased this item from La Scala Autographs. Wolfgang Schneiderhan(1915-2002) Austrian violinist. Who before he focused on his solo career was concertmaster of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Also formed(and disbanded) the Schneiderhan Quartet. There are some minor surface scratches, scrapes and light rubs present along reel and spool's rimmed edges and face, but nothing beyond what one would expect in reel that's seen occasional use over the years. Structurally and mechanically sound throughout. A quick testing of the reel's adjustable cork-disc drag confirms smooth increasing tension throughout its entire range with no stutter, stick or hesitation noted, and the anti-reverse function still performs flawlessly too. A careful disassembly and thorough inspection of the reel's interior confirms all parts still perfectly intact and fully serviceable with no excessive residue build up. Tibor "Freestone" 5-7 wt Fly Reel
I am a disabled Veteran. A member of and volunteer instructor for the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Program at the Long Beach Casting Club in Long Beach, CA. A long time club member recently gave to our project director a large lot of fly fishing gear to sell to generate funds for our program. I'm tasked with selling the items. This Tibor"Freestone" reel is used but it's hard to tell as it's in very nice condition. There are some very minor scuff marks on the"gold" side of the reel that do not show up in the photo(sorry, but I'm a much better fly fisher then photographer) but nothing that should be considered damage. For functionality it's 10/10, cosmetic 8+9/10. Any questions don't hesitate to ask. The reel also includes a Teeny T200 7wt sinking line. Thanks for looking.
