This auction is for a Berkley Cherrywood C30-7 pole with a South Bend ORENO# 1196 reel. The 2 piece pole appears to be in good condition and measures about 81 inches long put together. I am not sure of the age of either the rod or reel. But they look like older items to me, but I am not an expert in this area. Both rod and reel look to have normal type wear as they are a used item. The reel is a mystery to me. I am not a fly fisherman in any sense of the word and really can not figure out how to work this reel. What I can tell you is that there is no line in the reel but it will turn very easily forward and back. The reel does have some writing on it. It appears to say South bend Quality Tackle NO 1196 ORENO. Please study the pictures closely to determine condition and age. Any questions please let me know. I will do combined shipping and if you are waiting for the conclusion of another auction please let me know. I try to respond to all questions through Ebay messaging as soon as possible. There looks to be some letters at the bottom edge near the reel foot, but I cannot make out the name. I am not sure if the red color is original or not. It has some rust stains and paint scrapes as you can see. The clicker works well and when on, it reels fairly nice with some catches, but this just seems to be due to the clicker. When the clicker is off, it reels very smooth. Pictures are part of the description(any white/light glare is from the camera flash) What you see and what I have described is what you get. Most suitable for 3 to 5 weight lines/rods has capacity to handle a DT5 line plus 30 yards of 20lb backing. Can be fished with either left or right handed retrieve by simply spooling line in the proper direction. Very nice old Heddon Winona 105 fly reel. Everything works great including smooth rotaition of the wheel. Has both wooden handles, clean thumb bar for drag and pretty good chrome as the pictures will show. The color is a kind of aqua blue/green. NOTE: I listed as repair in the title because the line eye is glued on and is not the correct piece and could be replaced or left as is for display.
