I personally used this rod one time. Before me- it appeared unused. I took this to Gustavis Alaska this last August to visit my brother who was working at Glacier Bay National Park. He informed me that i would need a good trout rod. As right behind the park- there was an inlet, and he was catching Beautiful little Dolly Varden, and Sea Run Cutthroats on a regular basis when he was not working. I was all over it- and this rod was easy to transport- right in my luggage- for the flight up there. Let me tell you- it fishes like a dream! Very sweet light action- I was able to snag 4 of the Dollys- all about 1-2 pounds. Holy smokes- what fun that was. The rod performed better than I expected. Really nice to catch a fish on. More on the rod- as I said- it appeared unused when I got it several years ago. I bought second hand- and it has been sitting ever since- as I never had a chance to get away. I made darn sure to take extra special care of it while I was using it. As it is in such sweet condition. I would love to call it mint condition, but can not as i know I used it. However- It is so near mint- with no damage to note. A real sweetheart for sure. Set it up for fly- or spin fishing. You are sure to have a blast with it. You are looking at a super nice Vintage Eagle Claw(Wright& McGill Co. Trailmaster 6'9" Spin/Fly combination rod. This rod is from the 1970s and in very good condition. This is model number: TRRR269(206 cm) It says on the rod: Previous Model No. M6TMU) It also says: Line Size 7" The rod comes in six pieces. There are no gouges in the cork. All the eyes are present. The colors are strong-this is a fantastic rod! This rod came from my uncle's collection of fishing equipment. He lives in Homosassa Springs. Florida and because of declining health, he can no longer fish. My Aunt asked me to help her find new homes for all his gear. Over the past couple of months, I have done just that! This is one of the last pieces of his collection to go. Because he lives in Florida. This rod may have been exposed to salt water/air. The aluminum tube does show wear and the chain that attaches the screw top on the tube is present but not connected to the tube. Vintage L.L. Bean Fly Fishing Rod W/ Aluminum Storage Case
I received this wonderful L L Bean two(2) piece fiberglass fly fishing rod as a gift in the late 1970s. It has moved with me ever since. The rod has never been used once. It has never had a reel mounted on it and is virtually new. The storage tube shows some light wear from being stored all these years. The rod and cloth cover are perfect. It still has its product registration card though the staples are a little rusty. I believe it is the Angler model. On the rod itself there is the LL Bean logo and 9' for5/6 line. Just a great vintage fly fishing rod that would be fun to own.

Hello- Thank you for looking at my auction! We have for your review and bidding the following item just in time for the Spring Fishing Trip: Beautiful Vintage L.L. Bean DOUBLE L 9' FLY ROD. With Cloth Cover and Leather Carrying Case with Brass Zipper. THIS ITEM IS BEING AUCTIONED IN“ USED CONDITION” Please note that I have not used this item. And I am not a Fly Rod Fisherman. I have not done anything to the rod's but I did wipe the dust off the leather case. This was my Grandfather's Fly Rod. And I was told by my mother that he purchased this fly rod before 1945. He had four fly rods but this rod was his favorite one. He swore by L.L. Bean for all his fishing, camping, and clothing, and his fishing gear certainly has survived over the years. He lived in Maine almost his whole life near several very large freshwater Lakes. He loved ... moreto fish and when I was a young tyke vacationing with him he would wake me at 5 Am everyday I was there, and take me out fishing with him. I can still smell the fresh caught trout in the buttered frying pan with some fried eggs beside them right now. He was a very good Outdoors-man through and through. Now I have no idea what type string/nylon is to be used on this pole nor the weight. I do know it has a tag that says 9 Feet. This rod was stored in a dry protected hallway closet at my parents home for many years after he passed. By the way. I had to use a yellow binder clip to hold the curled cloth tag to take a picture. The leather case appears to be in excellent condition, the brass zipper works fine,inside the case is a tan colored cloth sack that contains 4 rods; The main rod, the middle rod, and two identical tip rods. It also has along piece of wood hollowed out on two sides to protect the two tipped rod ends. On the main rod there is some writing just above the handle which I did take a picture of that I believe says“BEANS DOUBLE L” I see no holes in the tan cover sack anywhere. I acquired this Winchester rod from a fly fishing estate last year and thought that somebody could get some use out of it. Here are the specs: It has obviously been refinished. One set of ferrules have been replaced. It was originally a 9' rod and the sections measure 37" 36 1/2" and 35" The ferrules fit good and this rod would make a good bluegill or trout rod at an economical cost. Dia. & Pearl Brand - Vintage Fly Rod set in Box
You are bidding on a"vintage" fly rod set from Dia. Pearl Brand. Japan. circa 1960) It is my understanding that these were o riginally sold by thethousands to GIs in a light long box with lures and huge flies. Mostlyconsider trinkets by collectors and memorial to GIs. The box is very fragile. As are most of the contents, including the rod. There are a few unfortunate duct tape marks on the box, as someone tried to keep the box together. There has also been some minor wood glue applications.

Vintage South Bend Bamboo Fly Rod 9' Bluegill Trout Bass
I acquired this South Bend rod from a fly fishing estate last year and thought that somebody could get some use out of it. Here are the specs: It has obviously been refinished and was done pretty decently with all sections measuring 36 1/2" The ferrules are a litlle loose but should tighten up to be fishable with a little parafin wax. This rod has a bluegill. Trout or light bass feel and would be a great way to fish bamboo at an economical cost. Shipping is $12.50 to the lower 48.

A beautiful two piece graphite rod. Cork is in good shape,its had some hooks in it, the rod had a scuff in the finish that i repaired. it did not reach the graphite. It is model IMS6990. The action is tight and the rod itself weighs 5.5 oz. It has caught its share of bone fish redfish and mid size tarpon. It did its service in the fl keys. Id keep it but my shoulder says i have to go down to a six weight. Its nine feet long is a 9wt. two piece, has two large primary guides of porcelain and ten wire guides. All in all a wonderful rod. I had the tippet replaced in 1998 by World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada when it was just a wonderful small pro shop. comes in a Penn International hard case,the zipper is a lil sticky. will come insured and sig required. This Rod is 5'6" long and very old. I have had it for over twenty years as a wall display. I have tried to find the make. But no luck. It is a two piece bamboo construction. The reel has no markings on it to determine the manufacturer, however it is newer than the rod. This would provide someone else with a wall piece as it has for me. Need to rid ourselves of things, so this piece is a must go. This is not a business. There is“Queen” inscription on the bottom section which would most likely indicate this is an H&I Tonkin Queen model. The bottom section measures 40” and the tip is 41” I would estimate it would load with a three weight fly line. The six inch cork handle is in very good condition. The screw down lock reel seat is also in fully functional shape. There are four snake eye guides on the tip section and an agate stripper guide on the bottom section. The rod fits together perfectly when assembled. Has the distinct pop sound when removed and is straight. I meticulously stripped the old varnish. Up for bid one Vintage Single Action Crank Handle Brass Trout/Fly Reel- unmarked as to manufacturer. But identified as being manufactured by Terry Clock Company of Waterbury, Ct. through online articles identifying the patented foot design. This reel is constructed of brass. It has a full time clicker. It is in good working condition. The foot and clamp are riveted together, and the foot is riveted on the back plate and screwed on the front plate using a supporting block. It appears the foot would offer more support than just a clamp. It is in very good condition, appears lightly used, almost new in appearance, see photos) The reel is very well constructed with the pillars, end plates, handle and foot all being quite substantial for the size reel. The handle has a wood knob in very good condition. The Terry Clock Company made reels primarily ... morein the 1870s and 80s. It measures 1-13/16" diameter. 2-3/8" deep including the handle, has a foot measuring 2-5/8" long by 9/16" wide, and has a clamp approximately 1-1/8" diameter by 3/4" wide at the foot, tapering to 1/2" wide at the thumb screw. The thumb screw allows for only about 1/4" travel to tighten it to a pole. It weighs 3.9 ounces, with packaging it will ship at 9 ounces. Superb Vintage Antique Scott PowRply Graphite 2-Piece Fly Rod Model G958. This famous G-series rod was built in the 1970’s at the original San Francisco plant. It is in new condition. With no dings or scrapes or scratches on any kind anywhere on the rod or handle. The markings on the rod are hand-written, and they are: 9.5’ 8 Line” Under that is“3 ½ oz.G958∙15∙8794” On the opposite side is“Harry Langston” The writing on the rod appears to have been done by Harry Wilson, who founded the company in 1974. The rod is brown in color and has the internal ferrules, which indicate it was made between 1978 and 1981, appropriate for serial number 8794. The soft sock is divided into two parts so that the rod’s 2 pieces are separated when the rod is slipped into the factory tube case. Vintage Fenwick Fiberglass Fly Rod 7 1/2' FF756 Exellent Condition
7 1/2 foot. Two piece, Fenwick Fiberglass Fly Rod from the 1970's. Number FF756. This rod is rated for a 6 weight line, and sometimes I used it with one, especially in the wind. Usually I used one size lighter than the line stated on the Fenwick rods. It does really well withe a WF 5 or for more delicate fishing on small steams a DT 5 works well. I used this rod on medium size streams in Montana and Wyoming and liked it on breezy days. It is a little stiffer than some other fiberglass rods and can handle bigger flies and begger fish. As you can see from the photos it is in excellent condition, with no defects in the blank, wraps or cork grip. Minor fishing wear. The serial number is N285603. Vintage Custom Hardy Scepter Fiberglass Fly Rod 7 1/2" Excellent
7 1/2 foot. Two piece, 5 weight custom built Hardy Scepter Fiberglass Fly Rod. I purchased this blank from Fly Fishernan's Bookcase back in the 1970's and built the rod using black snake guides, black stripper guide, black tip top, deep copper color reel seat hardware with a wood insert. Down locking reel seat. The Septer is S-Glass and comprable to the Scientific Angler System series of fibergass rods. Blank color is dark brown, so I used brown thread wraps, with no color preserver so they are transparent. The wraps seem to disappear against blank. Hook keeper has a tiny ring. The blank has a glass spigot ferrule so there is no dead spot when casting. This fiberglass rod is capable of using a DT 5 line, WF4 or if you push it a WF 5 or even a DT6. I always used a DT5. This rod saw action in many small to medium size steams and rivers ... morein Montana and Wyoming in the 70's and 80's. Great small stream rod with delicate presentation, light weight and enough power to fish with on breezy days. Comes in a aluminum tube and a cloth bag. Excellent condition, with minor fishing wear.

This reel appears to be very good condition, been used very sparingly and is in a bright blue finish. Reel comes in the original box with the literature. This reel functions very well and has a strong winding spring. The spool does not contain fly line. The foot is in excellent uncut condition and marked NO. 7 UTK. The box is pretty worn and has a couple of torn seams. Both the reel and box are in the condition shown.

For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this classic fiberglass fly fishing rod made by Actionglass in Detroit. It is a two piece 8 1/2 foot rod.model 2086. From the 1950s. These rods typically dont have a fly line rating marked on them. However, it throws a WF-6-F line well in my back yard. This one is used but in excellent condition. Both pieces are of equal length and assembled it measures 8 1/2 feet so no repairs. The eyes. Wraps, reel seat and grip are all good. There does not appear to be any damage of any kind.
