Here is a vintage South Bend fly rod/pole and Peerless aluminum carrying tube. The tube is 46.5" long x 1.5" in diameter. It was made in Newark. NJ by A.W. Co. Peerless. The rod is a South Bend model#5469-7.5 with Power flex and a Comficient grip handle. The rod is 9' long, and in very good condition. All eyelets are still in place. Reel not included.

This is for a Montaque Bamboo fly rod in very good to excellent condition. It is three piece. Two tips. Al;l sections are full length and straight. The decal is about 70% there. You can see it is labeled Rapidan. You can see the first letter and the last letter. The original tube has the label on it stating Rapidan. Also has original bag in very good condition. Tube is miss cap. The reel seat is very good. It was blackened but some is worn off. The cork is very good. no chunks out. Ther wraps are dark brown and very good. The ferrules are very good with some of the blackening worn off. The guides are very good anf the finish is very good. It has a hook keeper. I think most would call this excellent condition. This is for vintage Southbend bamboo fly rod in very good condition. It is a model#290. 7-1/2' 2 pc. one tip. All sections are full length and straight. I believe this originally had two tips because the bag is for a two tip rod. The Southbend label is 100% as is the the rest of the labeling on the rod. It says. Southbend. No. 290- 71/2 foot. Line.E or HDH. The reel seat is good. The cork is very good. The cork has a protective finish on it. No chunks out. The wraps are orange and black verigated and in very good condition. The ferrules and guides are very good. The finish is very good. This is a very nice rod in very good shape. It comes with its original bag in very good condition. The bag has the full label on it. Up for your consideration is a very nice vintage 1953(see marks on rod 5-53) made either by A Lombard which is around rod or F.W. Wolfinger(Ferris) This is a 2 pc in excellent barely used condition. There is a#7 on the cork handle. I think it means 7 pound line? I don't know anything about fly rods. I did find with help an article on the internet that refers to Al Lombard(from Binghamton NY) owning 5 PHY fly rods and also that Ferris Wolfinger owned a store in Hillcrest NY. This auction is for a Vintage Fenwick FF856 Fly Rod. Its 8 1/2' long 3 7/8 oz model. AFTMA Fly Line No. 6. This rod is in very nice condition and appears to have very little use. Only a few light marks seen were reel attaches to the rod. No other marks or damages of any kind. Take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. Vintage Bamboo Fly Rod 7 1/2 ft 2 pc 2 tips unmarked maker
This is a very nice high condition bamboo rod I've not fished it but I believe it will take a 4 wt line. The rod weighs 4 1/2 oz. Very nice down locking reel seat and wood insert. The ferrules and wrappings are in good condition. It comes with a green rod bag in an aluminum case. The case cap is labeled A.A.W.Co. with Peerless shield. On Jan-21-13 at 19:48:30 PST. Seller added the following information: the actual rod weight is 3 7/8 oz. with the butt and 1 tip(either one) not the 4 1/2 oz as orig. stated also there is a minor color variation between the tips. I.e. one is slightly darker than the other.

Here is a beautiful classic rod by one of the great masters. H.L. Leonard/Leonard Mills. 3pc and 9ft long when assembled with the longer tip and right at 8 1/2 with the shorter tip. section lengths are Butt: 38.25" Center: 38.25 Tip 1: 33" Tip 2: 29.75" The wraps are in good shape. The cork is beautiful, the real seat is in good shape and could use some polish, the ferrules are in good condition and will be cleaned to ensure proper fit and"pop" when separated. The center section has an overwrap that is pictured. This rod is ready to be owned by a purist who appreciates such a masterpiece. Comes with tip sock and aluminum tip tube and rod sock pictured. Pflueger Progress 1774 Fly Reel Brass Antique Vintage Rare For Bamboo Fly Rod

The reel frame is made of brass and the spool is made of aluminum. We spend about 20 hours on each individual reel. We screen/repair the handles(for tightness) and the clicker for strength and check for smooth all around mechanics on each reel. These reels after cleaning and polishing are so shiny it is difficult to take good pictures because they tend to reflect everything. So any dark areas are reflections on the shiny surface! These Pflueger Reels are"American Made" when American made was a term meaning"quality" The model 1774 reel with a dark celluloid handle was made from 1948 to 1952. This information is according to Pflueger Heritage Catalog by Wayne Ruby. ... moreIn my opinion the Pflueger model 1774 is a bullet proof reel and one of my favorites. It is a"reversible" reel. Meaning it can be used as a right or left hand Fly Reel. This is an old fiberglass rod with a cork handle and 5 guides + tip. Has few scratches and scuffs, generally pole is in great shape. May or may not come with the carry case shown. Vintage P&K Modernist split bamboo tonkin cane fly fishing rod 8 1/2 feet long
I have for sale a hard to find and great size vintage 8&1/2 food split bamboo fly rod with tube and sock. Ready for fishing or collecting. Label is P&K otherwise known as Pachner and Koller out of Chicago. Rod looks like it was made by Horrocks and Ibbotson(H&I) There are two re-wraps on the mid section but all sections are equal length. Beautiful agate or agatine stripper guide on the butt section. each section measures 35 inches long and when fitted together the rod is 102 inches or 8 feet. 6 inches long. Nice length for a 3 piece rod. Rod probably dates to late 1940's early 1950's. Check out the pictures!

Serial#PG40-6'3" At just over 6 ft this would be a great rod for in those wooded tight areas to fish. Rod is in great condition. All wraps and guides solid with no fraying. Very nice Bill Barnes Tackle Spinning- Fly Rod Model# 955. Labelled' Genuine Tonkin Cane' All three sections are straight. Equal in length and measure approximately 39 3/4 inches. The ferrules fit very well- nice and snug without undue force- and they pop lightly when pulled apart. The finish is original and looks to be in nice condition, as do the guides and wraps. The handle cork looks nearly new. There is a small, dark blemish on the reel seat below the threads. This is a unique, hard-to-find, high quality bamboo rod. Ships via FedEx. You are bidding on a wonderful RARE VINTAGE ORVIS 8 1.2' BAMBOO FLY ROD. I won this beautiful rod in a card game many years ago from an old gentleman. He had restored the rod and took off the original varnish that has the name of the rod and other info. It is an ORVIS BATTENKILL-which in looking at other Orvis rods makes perfect sense. The guides and windings are all excellent. The rod has nickel silver ferrules and the sections are nice and tight and make a good"pop" when taken apart. The 4 sections are all full length and perfectly straight. The cork is now varnished. The rod tips are excellent. I don't have a tube for this rod. Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Welcome To My Auction The item up for bid is one(1) vintage Goodwin Granger'Granger Premier' 8 1/2' model# GP 8642 split bamboo fly rod. A rather scarce Granger rod as the premier grade made up only 2.2% of the the rods produced by Granger. This rod is in very good condition all 4 pieces measure 34 1/2" in length all 4 pieces lay out straight. The handle other than some soiling and some what I would guess are hook marks on the reel end is in great condition. The reel seat adjustment works as it should there are some dings to the seat as pictured. All windings are tight and line guides are all in excellent condition. The rod is missing one line guide which is the first in line in the mid section but oddly enough the winding remains undamaged as pictured. There is some residue on one of the ... moretip sections between the last line guide and the terminal end. I've looked at this section under heavy magnification and failed to see a crack or split in the cane but the residue is opaque and hence I could not see under it and I have made no attempt to remove it. I have included three close ups of this area so you may make your own appraisal. The rod sack included is in excellent undamaged condition.This rod truly represents a wonderful slice of American fishing history. This is a rare rod of the highest quality methods, and is in very good condition. This is not a pieced together rod, if you look at the photos, you will notice the serial numbers are matching on all three pieces. The serial number or build number is 13596. VINTAGE ORIGINAL POST WWII SPLIT BAMBOO FLY/CASTING FISHING ROD This auction is for a vintage five piece Cacique Model 205 Produced by Kiraku Co Inc. Japan in its original condition. It comes with a non original wooden box that is missing the top. The rod can be assembled into a three piece 8’ fly rod or a two piece 5.6’ casting rod. There are decals and inscription on the two bottom sections. All sections measure 33” bottom sections when attached to handle) I would estimate it would align with a four or five weight fly line. The six inch cork handle and up lock screw reel seat are in great condition. There are two snake eye guides on the mid and fly tip sections. Three guides on the casting tip. The rod comes with two matching bottom sections that each have a stripper guide and hook keeper. There are hairlines cracks on the mid, casting ... moresections and bottom sections males ferrules. Please see picture closeups. The female ferrule on the one of the bottom sections is slightly bent but still mounts to the other sections. The other sections fit together perfectly when assembled. There is a natural set in both the tip sections which will not affect casting of the rod. The rod is in its original condition. The honey colored bamboo cane and varnish finish are excellent. VERY NICE VINTAGE WEBER (STEVENS POINT, WIS.) 4 PC BAMBOO FLY ROD!
This is a VERY NICE WEBER(STEVENS POINT. WIS. 4 PC BAMBOO FLY ROD that is in GREAT MECHANICAL CONDITION with a GREAT APPEARANCE as well. The only thing bad about the appearance is that the cork handle is a little stained as you can see. It has a nice working reel seat with 11 nice line guides and wraps and decent connecting ferrules. It is super straight when assembled: probably the straightest bamboo fly rod I have had the pleasure of owning. All four pieces are equal in length and when assembled the rod measures 9 feet long. WEBER” STEVENS POINT, WIS. is on the metal reel seat. The label is no longer on the base of the rod, but the finish is super nice with only a few light blemishes. It comes with a very nice cloth sheath and metal tube(some scratches on the metal tube) as shown. The metal tube, however, is missing its top screw cap.
