Description: Frank Whiting original 1930s Art Deco skyscraper salt& pepper shakers that still retain their original foil labels on the bottom. These are sterling silver clad glass shakers. The plastic lids screw on and off and have sterling knobs on the top. On the bottom. Both shakers still have their original foil labels that say STERLING by Frank M. Whiting Co. NON-CORROSIVE. There is a hairline on the white lid which you can see in the pictures and that does not affect its function at all. The sterling silver sleeves have some minor nicking but just what you can expect with use over time, nothing major. This purse meas approx 3 inches by approx 2 1/2 inches flat rectangle. The chain handle meas approx 5 inches long. The mesh is not in perfect condition and some pieces that dangle at the bottom seem to be missing. This appears to be enamel paint on metal and you can see some of the paint is gone. Gorham/Whiting Sterling Silver Spoons in the Empress Pattern 1880
You are bidding on 12 Gorham/Whiting sterling silver ice cream spoons in the Empress pattern. This is a rare pattern especially with the gold wash that is present on the bowl of the spoons. It has the Gorham marks as well as sterling. They are approximately 5.5 inches long and weigh approximately 6.5 ounces(total for all 12) on my postal scale. They are in very good shape for being as old as they are. There is a monogram that looks like an S. Beautiful set of spoons that match the serving piece I also have listed.
