You are bidding on a beautiful vintage Pflueger Medalist by Shakespeare 1495 1/2 CJ single action fly fishing reel with 2 spare spools It comes with the stainless steel line guard to prevent rubbing on the side plates. The rod has 1” pillars. A 3 5/8” plate and weighs 6 ¾ oz. Cosmetically the reel and the spools are in very Good + to Excellent– condition with some minor rash but no chips. Dents or pitting. Mechanically the reel is in excellent condition. The reel is spooled with ST-7-S wet cell line. One spool has WF-9-1 DT& F line and the other has WF-6-F line. This is a beautiful old reel that is ready to fish or could be put into a collection. International buyers are welcome. The price for shipping and handling is for shipping in the US. It is loaded with what looks to be modern WF-6-F fly line. This one has been used but is in excellent condition with very little wear on the finish. Classic Pflueger No.1494 1/2 CJ Medalist Fly Fishing Reel Shakespeare Japan
This classic Pflueger Medalist is in excellent condition with a DT floating fly line of unknown weight. It was made in Japan after Shakespeare's acquisition of Pflueger. A right hand wind reel which was very lightly fished. The usual quick change button on the reel face. The frame on the head plate reads"PFLUEGER 1492 1/2 CJ MEDALIST" Diameter of the reel is 3 1/4" Width of spool 1" The bottom of the foot reads"JAPAN/JAPAN/MODEL CJ" There is a friction drag knob on the rim of the tail plate in excellent working order.
