This gun metal frame/ nickel finish spool 60 yd. size Pflueger Progress fly reel has a wooden knob. The Bulldog logo on the foot, and is in near mint condition: it looks beautiful and is mechanically excellent. At some point in its life it apparently was given as a gift to a WWII war veteran: I unfolded the paper it nestles on in the box, and discovered that it is a party napkin with color pictures of a tank, a battleship, a B-29 bomber, and artillery. The box shows the wear one would expect to see on an item which is the better part of a century old, and has an age-darkened label, but is sound(no tears) Please study the pictures before bidding, and if you have any questions or want a different views posted, please contact me before bidding. PFLUEGER NO. 60 TWO for one bid- Vintage Pflueger Progress. Raised pillar, skeleton fly reels are relisted here. Spools spin freely, like a top. Clicker works. All metal is very clean. Frame is solid brass. I think that spool is polished nickel plate. Both rubberoid handles are beautiful, as shown. 60" is stamped into bottom of feet. Pflueger, Bulldog trade mark, and PROGRESS, are stamped on top of the feet. NO RESERVE above opening. The line is very old and stiff. Probably has been there since Hitler was a corporal. Overall.
