Used Vintage Model 81 USA Martin Auto FLY FISHING Reel for Fiberglass Rods-VGC RED Martin Model 81Auto Fly Fish reel Mohawk New York This red painted Martin automatic fly reel harkens to an age when fiberglass rods ruled. From the overall looks and condition. I don't think this has been used much. Cosmetically it has 99% of paint, yet there seems to be some minor scratching or grime on the silver crank up dial. The line is older, but as new condition would pair nicely with an older model glass rod. The reel measures 3" diameter x 1 7/8" wide. And at 10.2 ounces(with line) it should balance out any vintage heavier glass or bamboo fly rod.

Vintage Green Martin#48 Auto FLY fishing Reel for glass rod- Mohawk NY This Green Martin Mohawk automatic fly fishing reel harkens to an age when fiberglass rods ruled. The reel functions well for its age. It catches and holds a wind. So I would consider this for use or display. Cosmetically, the reel has extensive scratching, minor denting, and paint loss; but would pair nicely with an older model glass rod. The reel measures 2 7/8 diameter and 3 overall from foot. Of note this is a side mount version and at 8.1 ounces( light for autos) it should balance out any vintage heavier glass or bamboo fly rod.

I usually try to charge about $1.00 more than what I think the actual cost will be to cover all the incidentals(labels, ink, bubble wrap, padded envelopes, delivery to post office etc. Sometimes I miscalculate and am too high and sometimes to low. If too high I refund the difference and if too low I eat the cost(it has been as high as 8 or 9 dollars too low on large irregular shape items) If you think shipping is too high on an item let me know and I will review the costs.
