Up for bid is one Vintage Automatic" MARTIN AUT' FISH REEL CO. No. 4 Fly Reel. The bottom of the foot is marked" MARTIN AUT' FISH REEL CO. MOHAWK, N. Y. and on the bottom cover it has"U. S. PAT. OCT.9, 1923" and on the back rim"No. 4" The reel is constructed of aluminum. It is missing a knurled knob that when pulled out activates the retrieve function. The function works by pulling the shaft the knob would be on. It is in good working condition as far as I can tell without having line on it. It measures 3-3/8" diameter. 2-1/16" high including the foot, and has a foot measuring 2-1/2" long by 9/16" wide. It weighs 8.1 ounces, with packaging it will ship at 13 ounces. Is missing all but 1 nut on screws that hold it together still appears to be very tight with out nuts, and has slight dent on one edge, can see in pictures, has some rust and will need a good cleaning.
