Both the reels work fine-clickers still work fine and are free running in either direction. Both of the reels are believed to be made in brass. One of the reels is marked MADE IN USA on the bottom- the other is unmarked. Pictures show what you are getting No visable makers stamp anywhere on either reel. Paint wear but no dings or chips or deep paint scratches anywhere- Made in USA on the footplate of one of the reels. One has a diameter of 2 1/2 inches and the other has a diameter of 2 5/8 inches

Patented on 7/10/1888 and last made in 1919. Hendryx- Started in 1870 in New Haven Conn by Andrew B Hendryx. Company was later absorbed by Winchester. Best known for their firearms, in 1919. This reel is a raised pillar crank reel made from brass and nickel plated. The crank has a hardwood knob. The number 60 is stamped on the bottom of the foot and indicates the line capacity in yards. The top of the foot plate is stamped"HENDRYX" and"PAT. MAR, 21, 1884" The retrieve remains smooth. There is a modest loss of nickel plating(see photos) but less than one might expect from an antique of this era. Antique split bamboo fly rod sport king model 76 w/ raised pillar skeleton reel
3 piece 9' sport king model 76 split bamboo fly rod w/ raised pillar skeleton fly reel. Each piece of the rod is approx 37" The middle piece is missing an eye. Its an easy fix for the right person. You can see in last pic as well as others the rest seems to be solid. The raised pillar reel works very good and the clicker is strong the only marking I could find was made in USA on the bottom of the reel seat. I'm pretty sure raised pillar reels were made between 1880-1920 this one is prob closer to the 20's correct me if i'm wrong. The two go very good together and would make a nice conversation piece or you would look pretty cool out on the water. Make sure you use the pics for condition along with what I said. c 1880 to 1900 Antique& very tiny all brass unmarked HENDRYX? Multiplier Fly reel What you are bidding on is most probably the smallest fly reel ever made. It is presumed to be a Hendryx based upon the shape of the foot plate. It is in excellent condition. Its design is from around the turn of the century 1880-1900. It features stamped all brass construction. The extremely small size would not impair its capacity to hold abundant silk line which was in use at the time. Extremely tiny reels of this type are often mistaken for toys. Considering its age it is in excellent condition as the photos show. This may or may not be a genuine Hendryx reel. It is difficult to say with certainty because of the lack of markings. This reel was sonically cleaned to remove old grease and grime. And then lubricated. The Featherlight 280 was manufactured from 1898 to 1919. I understand that Meisselbach did not put their mark on reels prior to 1906. So this marked reel likely dates from 1906 to 1919.
