Up for auction are 2 vintage fly reels in good fishable condition. Both have click on/off feature that works fine. Action on both is smooth with no binding. Each come with old fly line. Both have some paint loss mainly on the rim edges. One is set up for right hand retrieve and the other for left hand. Conversion is accomplish by removing 2 screws and moving the line guard. The Ocean City 76 is the better of the 2 reels. The Hawthorne 60-6430 was made for Montgomery ward by Ocean City and is nearly identical. Shipping is to the 48 continental states in USA only. Ocean City 76 Plymouth Fly Reel 60 Yards Philadelphia
Up for consideration is a Ocean City No. 76 Fly Reel in the original box with all of the Operating Instructions& Parts List for the No. 76. 35, and 36. The reel is made by the Ocean City Mfg. Co. Philadelphia, PA. Also included is the original receipt from the American Auto Stores dated 2/27/1952 for $4.29. Also include are spare parts ordered from True Temper on March 28, 1966 with original invoice. One problem, the Fly Reel is broken around the outer edge of the casting. I will list this as a parts reel sold as is in the original box with all of the papers and spare parts. Replace the reel with your good No. 76 and you have a nice collectible with the original box and papers.

VINTAGE REAL OCEAN CITY NO. 76 FLY REEL WITH SILK LINE
For sale is a vintage fly reel; a Real Ocean City No. 76 made in Philadelphia USA. It is 3 inches x 1 1/8 inches. This is a reel from the 1960's and would respond to some love! It is missing paint. We are uncertain of the drag function although the dial turns and the reel winds and feels great. The reel has a 80-90 foot silk line. The line is tapered at both ends. It is shorter at the front and about 10 feet at the back end. The line measures 0.020 inches to 0.035-0.042 in the main body of the line. It appears to be in usable condition and is still supple. It does need to have line dressing applied before use. It could be a Hardy line or other of that quality. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are part of the description.
