The condition is good, it has some black paint loss, scratches from use and the metal is aged/patina. The silver part that attaches to the rod has a touch of rust. The fly line is yellow and about 1/2 full. The spare spool is full of green line DT-5-F AIR-CEL shows less wear but you can tell it's used. I switched out the spools so that works fine. Martin model 65 fly reel-original owner-vintage and barely used
This reel was given to me as a gift maybe about 30 years ago. It was used a couple of times when new and has been stored away in an old tackle box every since. The reel still has the original line that came on it and the line sticker on side. Original box and papers that came in it also. It will need light cleanup and new line I'm quite sure. Flyfishermen will be familiar with the model. Also selling 8 1/2 foot Garcia rod that came with it separately.

Here is a great Vintage Martin# 65 Fly Fishing Reel. As seen in the photos the two dark spots are actually paper that needs to be cleaned off. Looks like it is from an old price marking. There is a slight bend in one section of the reel but otherwise looks like it is in great shape. All working parts on this reel. A great addition to any fisherman's collection.
