There looks to be some letters at the bottom edge near the reel foot, but I cannot make out the name. I am not sure if the red color is original or not. It has some rust stains and paint scrapes as you can see. The clicker works well and when on, it reels fairly nice with some catches, but this just seems to be due to the clicker. When the clicker is off, it reels very smooth. Pictures are part of the description(any white/light glare is from the camera flash) What you see and what I have described is what you get. I do see a couple of very light scratches on the black side of the reel but hardly noticeable. The fly rod is also in very good condition. I don't see a mark on it. Eyes are pristine. It's a“South Bend Black Beauty. 3685, medium action, graphite composite, 6/7 line weight. It does have a small yellow fly on the end of the line which I haven't bothered to remove. The Martin single-action fly reel is precision manufactured in the U.S.A. to give you years of trouble-free service. Frames are made of reinforced aluminum with extra strength. Machined hubs. Only markings on the reel are EXPERT on the top bridge. Following the history of the Meisselbach Expert reel it appears to be Nickle plated brass. Reel is in rough shape. Not sure if complete or not. Reel needs a good cleaning and inspection to free up and see if restorable. Good wall hanger. Maybe parts reel. Second reel is a Union Hardware fly reel. Reel was manufactured in Torrington Connecticut. Reel has markings on backside but very difficult to read. Reel has not been cleaned or polished. Last digits of model number are.115S. For sale are two Vintage/Antique Skeleton Fly Reels. I'm unsure as to the maker. But I suspect some of you guys might know! The only markings I could find were"Made in USA" which is found on the foot of each reel. Both are about 2 5/8 inch in diameter. And both look pretty much identical except that the pillars on one of them are bent inward(photo 4) Click mechanism works nice on one, but not quite the same on the other. But I'm not sure if that's the way it's supposed to work or not. These reels were owned by my grandparents I believe, so I'm thinking they're pre-40's at least.
