Mitchell 710 Automatic Fly Reel Vintage France with Extra Spool Box Instructions
We found this old Mitchell 710 automatic fly reel at an estate sale. I don’t know anything about Fly Fishing so it has not been tested but here is what I can tell you. I have NOT oiled it or done anything other than dust it off. There is no line on the reel or spool. When I had the bail handle in the upright position and the reel‘locked’ I wound the front of the reel clockwise and the back of the reel clockwise. Then when I pushed on the bail handle, the reel spins. The reel has light surface scratches but the overall physical condition looks to be very good for it’s age and considering that it was used. The box shows some wear. But again, not bad for it’s age. The bracket that attaches to the rod says Q07. France. Also included are an extra spool. The original box and the instruction sheet.
