Vintage Early Hardy Uniqua 3 5/8" RHW 2 screw Telephone Latch Salmon Fly reel
You are bidding on a very early vintage Hardy Uniqua 3 5/8" RHW Salmon fly reel. With a grooved brass foot~~inscribed on the side of the foot with the British Pat.272409, inscribed on the inside with the maker's initials"W.S. ~ the employee of Hardy who made this reel. Because of the brass foot, we suspect that this reel was made before WW I as all of the brass was appropriated for shell casings until the war's end. The reel retains much of it's gray leaded wonderful patina. The reel has a black ebonite crank handle. Hardy Uniqua Fly Reel 2 7/8 "size Von Lengerke & Detmold + bag + TT4-5 line
Hardy Uniqua in the hard to find small size of 2 7/8" The reel has a Von Lengerke& Detmold NY metal tag inside the reel. Both pawls are inside and the reel is set for left hand wind. The reel is in good operating condition. Great Patina. There is a Wulff Triangle taper 4-5 line installed and it has had little use. These little Hardys are getting pretty hard to find. No minimum. This is a Hardy Uniqua 3 3/8" fly reel. This reel has a metal tag on the back of it from V.L. A. Chicago. The reel still has the click and brake in good working order. The reel finish shows some wear. The top of the reel foot is ribbed. The back of the reel also has a piece of adhesive tape with the number 8 on it. Comes with the Seagrams cloth bag. Vintage rare Hardy Uniqua # 4 Reel
This is vintage Black Hardy Uniqua. A rare#4 reel with telephone spool latch stamped TAG 4. The condition appears as if it was seldom used and the black paint has only a few missing spots. The brass ribbed foot has not been filed and the internal parts show no wear. Th spool is lined with an old silk line of unknown weight. A beautiful gem of a reel.

And"HARDY BROS LTD ALNWICK ENGLAND" on the bottom. There is a"1" inscribed below the gear on the side of the spool. Inside the frame is inscribed"J 1 S" There is an"A" inscribed on the side of the brass foot. The reel is functional and has a great click to it when turned. Uniqua 2-7/8" and is in good condition but is missing the knob for reeling. Otherwise, superb oldie but goodie! No rust or dents.
