Up for sale is my used 9 ft. 6 weight, 9.5 tip flex Orvis Hydros fly rod and rod tube. This rod is amazingly light(2 3/4 oz) and extremely powerful! I primarily used this rod for slinging streamers and heavy nymph rigs for trout and popping bugs for largemouth bass. There is no question this rod is a cannon and can penetrate the wind which is typical on the western rivers I fish. This rod shows typical signs of use, not abuse. Should you run into issues with this rod such as breaking the tip, you have the Orvis 25 year warranty card included in this auction. If you want a light, powerful fly rod which uses the same rod blank as its famous cousin the Helios, then now is your chance for much less cash! In case you're wondering. I am selling this rod because I have too many rods and have decided to thin the heard.

In this auction you are bidding on a lightly used: ST CROIX LEGEND ULTRA SERIES 6-WT 9-FT 4-PC FLY ROD with Divided Rod Tube included The St Croix Legend Ultra Series 9'0" 4-piece 6-weight Fly Rod being auctioned here is in good used condition. ... moreVery well-cared for by its previous owner though indeed occasionally fished. This lightweight, powerful, smooth-loading fast-action fly rod naturally shows a few nominal signs of minor cosmetic wear and tear in the expected high traffic areas. For your convenience, please refer to the photos above and the inspection results below, for important item-specific details! Handle/Grip: Cork Grip displays a good bit of staining from previous handling. But remains overall, refreshingly free from any major chips, gouges, or excessive missing fill. Reel-Seat: Up-locking birds-eye maple and anodized aluminum reel seat still look handsome. Remains sturdily fastened, and still functions perfectly as well. Rod Blank: A close inspection of the signature matte-green SC5 graphite blank from tip to butt reveals only a handful of very minor scuffs and light scrapes in the typical places. But no signs of catastrophic abuse like deep scratches, scores, or penetrating nicks were found that would in any way hint the rod's original strength or integrity as compromised. This fly rod is in very nice shape other then minor blemish on butt end(I tried to show in photos) It has original storage sock and TFO hard carry case. The zipper slider on the carry case is broken(as is shown in photos) Over all this is a very nice fly rod set up for the money!
