This rod was given to me by the Scott Rods Rep in Montana. Unfortunately i broke it before i really got the opportunity to use it. I never had a warranty for it but it shouldn't cost more than $100 to get it fixed. Its an 11ft. 8wt A3 Switch rod. The female sleeve ferrule for the top piece is snapped. There are plenty of photos here. I'm a fishing guide and commercial fly tyer on the Hoh River in Washington State. Very well-cared for by its previous owner and only occasionally fished. This smooth loading, slightly shorter, lightweight yet powerful double-hander naturally shows a few nominal signs of faint cosmetic wear and tear in the expected high traffic areas that one would expect in a rod that's seen rare, infrequent use. As evidenced in the photos. The lower and upper cork grips display a trace hint of light staining from previous handling, but remain overall, quite free from any major chips, gouges, or excessive missing fill. The medium-barrel, anodized, gunmetal gray down-locking reel seat looks fabulous like it once did new, and still functions perfectly too. A close inspection of the rod's deep blue blank from tip to butt reveals the usual small scuffs and scrapes in the expected areas. But no signs of catastrophic abuse like deep scratches, scores, or penetrating nicks were found that would in any way hint the rod's original strength or integrity as compromised. 14' 8wt redington rs3 spey. This rod is slightly used and only shows slight discoloration to the front and rear grips. It was only used on two different trips. It casts a 550-575 skagit quite well. It will definitely throw a Scandi just fine or a longer belly spey. I have a closet full of rods and need to thin the herd. This rod would be a great all around rod for everything from summer to winter and even chinooks. It is in overall good condition as the pictures hopefully show. It has a slightly more full flexing action than some of the newer redington speys and is. Therefor, a bit more forgiving and relaxed. Thanks for lookin.
