Selling my Redington CPX 11'3 7wt. switch rod. This baby has landed ALOT of steelies in it's day! I have two of these and am not using this one as much so I am saying goodbye to a fantastic wing man. Seriously though. This rod is a beast. It's all you need for your year round stealhead fishing. It chucks heavy indicator rigs with easy and can swing as good as most switch rods. This is a 9' 7 weight Redington CPX rod. It is used but in very good condition. Guides and ferules are all in great shape. Reel locks are very smooth, and the cork is only slightly discolored. There are 2 small gouges in the bottom of the cork as shown in the last picture, but I don't think they will be an issue when casting(at least I don't notice them when I hold the rod) Also includes the original Redington sleeve and rod tube. Here is my Redington CPX 8133-4 two handed rod that is in excellent condition. Given the fact that it has only been cast in my spey clinics and has never seen a fish. No dings in any of the sections and the cork is perfect. There are a few minor superficial scuffs from being set down during casting sessions, but nothing that will affect it's structural nature. I bought this 9' 4 piece 12wt rod from Feather-Craft Fly Fishing. With the idea of going after tarpon. The guys at that shop indicated that it had been used for a few casts on one trip. I've never used it except to lawn cast(and you need a big lawn with this rod: it throws a 12wt line a long way) So, I am not claiming that it is a new rod, but it just about is. It has the upper cork handle or fore grip: I think that is a good thing. In my limited experience with really big fish, I don't think many anglers, myself included, put enough pressure on them. I think the fore grip makes it easier and more natural to do so. The fore grip also aids in roll or"spey" casting a 12wt line.
