I'm selling a Tenkara USA Iwana rod. This rod has been out a few times but looks almost new. It has seen minimal use. I am including with this rod 11 feet of 4.5 Tenkara USA Hi-Vis flurocarbon line and five 5 feet of 6# flurocarbon tippet. I am also including 6 hand tied Amano style flies. The flies are tied with Japanese Super Yamame hooks and have a silk eye and silk body with pheasant feather hackle. I'm selling this rod because I have a Tenkara USA Ayu 2 rod that I prefer. It zooms from 320 cm(10' 5" to 360 cm(11' 9" It is extremely lightweight at 70 gm(2.5oz) It has a very nice collapsed length of only 40.7 cm(16 in) making it a wonderful travel rod. It has a very fast 8:2 action that makes it perfect for throwing large weighted flies. Streamers, and multiple flies. This may the perfect fixed-line Czech nymphing rod as it is extremely lightweight, has variable reach, and a fast action so to set the hook aggressively and fight the fish in a fast current. This rod comes with a few Sakura Tenkara flys, a Masterline braid line which is an awesome line on a spool, a few Sakura stickers, rod sock, non-original packaging(please note that the packaging says 3.3m and this rod is 3m) and the warranty card! There is no problem with the rod or packaging, it is just an extra tube that I had for a longer rod. I am a Sakura representative here in the USA. Accurate and petite, the balance is light in the hand and overall the rod is light as well. Good condition, no hook strikes, never used bead head flys or large fish stressed, just used for what it was designed for. Awesome Tenkara rod. It has caught Iwana, Brook, Brown, Rainbow, Apache and Cutbows, just listen to this rod, it knows what to do. I used 3.5 Sansui or TenkaraUSA premium line with it 1m longer than the rod for good reach, 75m 6x tippet. Dragontail tenkara rod
Hello. Up for sale is a lightly used Tenkara rod. It is in perfect condition. Looks like it just came from the factory. Even the handle is still in almost perfect condition, I bought New from Dragontail Tenkara, it comes with a protective tube. I added a line holder as you can see in the picture, it is very practical when you are moving between spots, the model is the TATSU 360, is a 6:4 with a strong backbone. It is about 12 feet in lenght, fully extended, and 22" when fully collapsed, I had so much fun with this rod(by the way it was my firts experience with tenkara, I think I did very good) and I caught a lot of trout too. Some smallmouth bass and the popular blueguill(bream) as well fell under my tenkara rod. I would say it is the perfect entry model for someone that want to learn or experience this magnificient art of Japanese fly ... morefishing without spending hundreds of dollars in top of the line tenkara rod. Daiwa Tenkara LT39 S-F Japanese Fly fishing rod
This is a Daiwa Tenkara LT39-SF. This is one of their top of the line Tenkara rods. It is 12' 9" long. These sell for $300 new. Here is a description from TenkaraBum's website: The LT39SF has been the most popular of the Daiwa tenkara rods. And it seems most buyers choose it to replace their Amago. Relative to the Amago, it is a bit shorter but is also noticeably lighter in the hand and feels much lighter when casting. The LT39SF is very slightly softer in the butt section but stiffer in the tip section. The slightly stiffer tip would help when casting wind resistant flies or when fishing weighted nymphs. The Daiwa Enshou LT39SF is without doubt one of the best rods to consider if you expect to catch larger fish. The following video.
