This auction is for a vintage Montigue Sunbeam 9 foot split bamboo fly rod with two tip sections and 4 section cloth case. This old fly rod is in good useable condition and could easily be completely restored. There is some wear on the decal. A crack in the male ferrule of the second section, a thread is coming loose on one of the windings on one of the tip guides and there is some corrosion on some of the guides. The cloth case has a hole in it. The rod measures one inch under 9 feet when assembled. Guaranteed old and original. Shipping is additional and will be added to the cost of the item. This is a vintage Granger Aristocrat 9 foot 6 inch 3/2 bamboo fly rod made by Wright& McGill. Denver, Co. I believe it is number 9660. This rod is in very good condition. Two guide wraps are loose, one on a tip and one on the fore section of the mid section. Probably by taking it apart. All the rest of the guides and wraps are in excellent condition. All sections of the rod are 38 1/2 inches, original length and no repairs. All sections are straight with no warps and a bright finish. A few very minor chips or blemishes. The sections fit tight and all ferrules are sound, pop when you take them apart with no cracking or corrosion. Comes with original tube and sock.

9 foot vintage bamboo fly rod in remarkable condition.
This rod is in almost new condition and will be shipped free. It has no cracked ferrules. Reel seat or any splits that I have found on close inspection. All of the guides and wrappings are sound and they have some glaze checks that signifies their age, but won't affect their function. It looks like a gift for grandad that he put away and for got about. It is 9 ft and has two tips in excellent condition, ready to fish or proudly display. The case has one minor chip near one of the hinges that would be easily repaired and doesn't affect the function of the box. I don't know what brand this rod is, but I'm sure someone out there will recognize the markings. Vintage Foothills 3 piece 9 foot bamboo fly rod with extra tip
Vintage bamboo fly rod with"Foothills" logo above handle. 9 foot long. 3 section rod. One missing eyelet and worn varnish in places. Since all sections are the exact same length, the rod tips seem to be intact and not shortened up. There is an extra tip, the 2 tips are not identical and I'm not sure which one came with the rod.

Very nice Condition J C Higgins three piece 3000 9 foot fly fishing rod in the original fishing rod cloth sock. Straight cork handle. All the eyelets are intact. Ferrules are not cracked. I think this is a 5 or 6 weight. Cloth sock does have some tears. Unconditionally guaranteed as old& original. Vintage EC Powell of Marysville Bamboo Steelhead Fly rod 9.5 foot. 7/8 weight, 2 tips. Owner believes this is from the 30's. Patent No 1,932,986. Collectors pole, never been fished with.
