I weighed the three pieces that make a complete ... morerod(handle piece. Middle piece, end piece) on my postal scale, it weighs 5.2 ounces. Each piece is 35 inches long. Near the handle there are two rubber stamps on the rod, one says"Granger Victory" the other says"Wright& McGill" The metal reel holder part of the handle says"Made by Wright& McGill Rod Co Denver Colo USA" it also has two patent dates- Pat Apr 12 1938" and"Pat No 2114107. The aluminum tube says"CHAMIPON" MFD by CAL-AIR Products Los Angles" Inside the screw on cover there is stamped" CAL-AIR Products Co Los Angles" This rod is from the estate of a relative who died a long time ago. It has sat unused for decades. I don't know anything about fly fishing. I have tried to describe the rod carefully, I see no damage, no wear, no stains, etc. There is some oxidation on the silver metal, not rust, and there is some darkening of the cork handle from holding it, othewise to me it looks absolutely like new. This is a lot of split bamboo fishing rods. It includes a two-piece surf rod and a two-piece boat rod. Also included is another boat rod end and a butt section but I don't know if the third butt goes with the third end. The rods appear to be in good shape(no splitting) but would require some work to fully restore them(ferrules and guides)

2 Vintage MAYFLOWER Bamboo RODS ~FLY Fishing; SURF Fishing Pole + Box& some Accessories Let me start out by relating that I am not a fisher person. I received the rods as part of an inheritance. I was not able to ask any questions about the poles. Any information provided is taken from observation and what I was able to find on the net. The poles were thought to have been manufactured in Japan sometime between 1946 and 1970. Most historical information is written in Japanese. I don’t speak Japanese. The rods come in a light weight three hinged wooden box that has two metal closures that are present and functional. It is 39 inches long; 3 ¾ inches wide and 2 ¼ inches deep. The interior top of the box is split into 5 equal sections. In one section there appear to be 8 flys used for bait. The center section has a paper label that ... morerelates the following: High Class Mayflower The may flower brand fishing rod was made at the Oldest. Split Bamboo fishing rod work shop in JAPAN through the very best process of manufacturing with the latest technique. The bottom portion of the box is one open space. There are two items thought to be bobbers. There is a grid that is thought to be used for winding line. The rods appear to have been previously lovingly used. The lower portion of the surf pole is approximately 38 inches long. The grip is painted black. The Mayflower label is complete and unscratched. All whipping. Green and red is present, tight and bright. Metal work is bright with some micro scratching. The blue rubber butt is present, complete without damage. The upper portion of the pole is 35 ¾ inches making the pole 6 feet 1 ¾ inches when joined. There are three eyes. The tip is present and tight. All green whipping is present and tight. The second of two poles is thought to be in the same condition as the first. It is also thought to be approximately the same age as the first. I am unable to provide the exact age for either pole. Vintage Split Bamboo rods, flyrod, casting/Spinning rod fishing flies
2 complete rod blank sets. 1 for pieces parts and projects, all split bamboo. 1) Spinning/casting rod. Unbranded. Weighs 7.9 ounces, all guides are intact and tight, finish 90% or better intact, all ferrules are tight. Handle is intact, reel seat is loose on the handle. With a minimal amount of work it can be ready for display for the water. 2) Very old Montague fly rod. 3 piece with extra tip. Rod weighs 6.2 oz. This one needs some TLC, thread windings are dried up, several that are on the rod for trim and to hold guides are coming loose. It is missing first guide on the butt section, and the middle guide on the middle section. One tip is intact and in very good shape, including most of the windings. The extra tip is also in good shape except it is missing the tip guide itself. Hook keep at the base of the butt is in place(swivels) Rod definitely ... moreneeds someone who is into restoring to bring it back to life by replacing most of the windings including the trip winding, all ferrules are intact and tight as is the handle and reel seat. There is no doubt she can be fishing again after a few hours of work or cleaned up to make a nice display piece as well. 3) Bottom 2/3 of an old fly rod made by looks like"Horrocks Ibbotsom Co. Makers of fishing tackle, Utica NY. Ferrule is off but attached to the mid section from the butt section, both are missing guides and there is no tip. However, the handle and seat of the butt are in nice shape, if you need either piece for a missing part or to upgrade a damaged section it is definitely restorable and usable. I am including it in the deal, not including it in the price. If for some reason you don't want it with the rest of your purchase, let me know and I will not bother to ship it. CA. 24 rod pieces in all. One of the rods is complete in a wood box, Bear" made in Japan. The rest are mixed up. I'm sure they fit together but it will take an experienced fly guy to sort them out. This lot of vintage bamboo fishing poles were all tied together when I got them. I went through them and fit the rods together. The rods that are pictures together(2 or 3 pieces) I believe are complete rods. The rods on the far left of the pictures under the light switch have no matches as far as I can tell. One of the complete rods is missing the eyelet and one has a completely broken tip of the rod. Three of the rods have labels but they are worn and difficult to read(they are pictured) I took a picture with a tape measure next to the longest rod piece and the shortest rod piece to give you dimension information. Ebisu 5 pc with handle reversible for fly or casting. Handle. Middle, 3 tip sections. Chrome has not been cleaned. Original wooden box. Japanese made. I think this is a Shakespear rod but has no markings. Featherweight 3 pc fly rod with cloth sleeve. Original aluminum threaded cap with tube case. No markings 3 pc fly rod with steel Weber marked case. Includes brown lacquered sections not part of this rod. Ferrule has been repaired. Please look carefully at the photos and ask me any questions you may have. All rods are split bamboo and have not been repaired except ferrule on#3. All tips present original mounted.

2 Vintage Bamboo Fly Fishing Rods With Metal Tube
You are bidding on 2 Vintage Bamboo Fly Fishing Rods with one being a complete three piece rod and the other being a four piece rod(two tips) BUT IS MISSING THE BUTT SECTION, so this rod is incomplete. The three piece rod has a decent appearance with a light mark/stain/scratch(scratch is mostly on the butt section near the handle) All three pieces are equal length(35 and 1/8 inches long) The butt and mid section ferrule fit together nicely, but the mid and tip ferrule connection is a little tight, i.e. insertion of the male tip ferrule is only about 1/4 inch deep, but could be inserted up to one inch deep if it could be inserted all the way. The butt and mid sections on the three piece rod are decently straight with a little curvature. The tip section on this rod has a bend in the middle, something commonly seen on these bamboo rods. The ... morerod currently has 8 functioning guides and wraps counting the tip guide(which is just a little off center from the other guides) but should have eleven guides(the butt guide and the first guide on the mid section are missing and the last guide on the mid section is broken) The rod missing the butt section consists of one mid section(32 and 3/8 inches long) and two tip sections(both 32 inches long) All three pieces are from the same rod and do not appear to have been broken and all have a very decent appearance. Tip and mid section ferrules fit together nicely. The only thing I can find wrong with this rod(other than not having the butt section) is that the thread just above the male ferrule on one of the tip sections is just starting to come unwound a little. There are 2 line guides and wraps on the mid section and 4 line guides and wraps on each tip section. The metal tube that comes with these rods shows a few marks/stains/scratches, typical for a metal protective tube. Up for auction. A set of 2 vintage antique fly fishing rods. The fiberglass one is labeled: Horrocks and Ibbotson H-1( 1211, Power Glass, Utica NY Made in USA. Condition looks good. The threaded aluminum part that holds the reel is slightly loose, the cork shows some dirt and use, all the eyelets are good. The Heddon comes in an aluminum tube with a lid. 4 sections wrapped in a nice cloth cover. Looks like the bottom section has a bakelite rod holder, middle section and two tips sections. Looks very nice. Perhaps unused, very bright and unmarred finish, bright gold eyelets, a very nice looking set. Label on bag reads: Heddon Split Bamboo Rod No. 125. Vintage Hexagonal Bamboo Fishing Rods-Lot of 3
Up for bidding is a lot of 3 vintage two-piece hexagonal bamboo fishing rods. Rod"A" is a 7 ft. Montague Dreadnought. The varnish. Wraps and guides are in remarkably good shape. The metal ferrules, both top and bottom, have a crack as you can see in the pictures. Rod"B" is a 6 footer of unknown maker with the initials B.J. written where handle joins shaft. This appears to be an unfinished rod with no varnish and no guides attached save for the tip where 3 guides are held together by string. The ferrules on this rod have no cracks. This one would make a nice project. Rod"C" is 6.5 ft. with"196" written on it. This rod has no guides attached. Although you can see that at one time it did have guides. The varnish is in pretty good shape on this one. Another project rod. Job lot 7 vintage fly/coarse fishing rods,Ebisu,Sealey Octopus, bamboo/cane/cork
Here is a job lot of 7 vintage fly fishing rods. With one more modern one thrown in. I know nothing about these rods as they have come from my grandad's garage roof. So I would guess they are over 60 years old as he was 93! They all have a bag. But the canvas is in poor condition as you can see, some have been nibbled by something! The only names I can see are one rod which has Sealey Octopus on it. One which has Ebisu, I've had a look for other names but can't see any I don't know if they are complete. Broken or even useable, but they were all neatly stored in their bags and look complete? some of the metal bits are rusty I would think they would be ideal for an enthusiast who wants to restore them or a dealer in fishing tackle who might like to do them up or use them for spares. I have two Vintage Bamboo Fly Rods One is an ARAI 8ft it has two tips and was made in U.S. Occupied Japan. The rod is in Very Good Condition. The cork handle is sound with some dry cracking. See photos. The box is missing the end piece as seen in the photos. The second one is new in the box and is also a 8ft with two tips. And has all of the accessories with it.
