Michigan, all with attractive two tone tenite handles and tempered solid steel blades. The burgundy handle has a square blade making a 5'1" rod. The grey and white handles have round blades making 4'7" rods. All are in excellent condition. The blades are bright and shiny. Making this item more rare is the fact the original reel supplied with the rod is still attached and part of the sale. Length is about 54 1/2 inches. All 4 of the line guides are good and securely mounted. The 3 interior guides are bound nicely with factory wire. The base section rod itself is 3 sided. Triangular, very unusual, has some light rust on it. The handle is Bakelite and is a very colorful maroon and off-white banded color. And is in very nice condition. Orchard Industries 55" Action-Rod steel rod w/ Bakelite handle Also includes Pflueger Nobby Reel This rare. Collectible metal fishing rod was made by Orchard Industries in Detroit, Michigan. It measures 55" in total length. The Bakelite handle can be disassembled from the rod and is Sage Green and Brown in color. Joseph Carlson applied for the patent# 1920966 in 1929 and it was approved in 1937 I believe that this rod was produced in the late 1930s to the mid 1940s when production switched from steel to"glass" due to the war Rod is in GREAT shape. The Pflueger reel is also in great shape. Butt of rod is stamped with the name Jack W. Mitchell. Reel is engraved with initials J.W.M.
