Vintage Shakespeare Musky Wonderrod#1036 Howald Process. 5'7" Item is a vintage Shakespeare Wonderod. On the handle it says: Shakespeare. Made in U. S. A. Patent#2260204. The yellow label says Shakespeare Wonderod, Howald Process. 1036 5'7" EGO. This rod is white with red and black markings. There are 5 eyelets which are all in good condition. The pictures show the movement up to the tip of the rod. This rod was purchased in 1966 by my husband. We believe it was manufactured in 1959. The cork handle is 7 1/2 inches long and then a rubber end on it which is about 1 1/2 inches long. Included also is a red nylon tie bag which is about 44 inches long. Early Rare Howald Glastik Fishing Rod Wonderod By Shakespeare w/ Fabric Case
Howald Glastick early Wonderod by Shakespeare that resembles the No. 1190. Appears to be an early- perhaps as early as 1939 based on the original fabric cloth case and wood rod. This cloth case has 2 compartments- one for the removable handle and the other section(holds the wood rod) holds the fiberglass rod section. The fabric case has some small rips near the seams. See pictures for condition and details. This 2 piece rod measures 5' 2" and has a removable handle. Cork handle and eyelets are in excellent condition considering its age. For your consideration is this great vintage compact fishing rod. This“wonderod” made by Shakespeare in the USA telescopes out to 6 feet long. It closes down to 24 inches and fits inside it's own zippered vinyl carrying case. The model name on the rod is“Purist” I believe it is made of fiberglass and is very lightweight. This rod appears to have been used little and seems to be in good condition. There is one tooth missing in the case zipper but it still works just fine. Shakespeare Wonderod Presidential Howald 6'-6" with aluminum tube case
This is a spinning rod. Presidential, model number P. 1469-6'6" date code EKF. It looks to be in excellent condition with very little evidence of use as the photos show. The aluminum tube/case measures 41.5 inches with the caps on. The red rubber caps are marked"Wonderod, Shakespeare Co. USA. The aluminum tube itself has no markings. There is also an unmarked blue fabric rod sleeve, which I don't if it is original to the rod, but was with it when I got it and will be included.

No. 809 8'0" EFG. I would say the rod tip was broke at some time and a new tip was put on, the rod when put together is about 7'9" not 8' The eyes or line guides look good but the threading holding the eyes on looks kinda faded? lightly. The rod shaft looks good, the cork handle looks good and the reel mount area has some scuf/scratches from use and is marked. Shakespeare. Using the Howald method of spiral wrapping exclusive to Shakespeare. T he FY-B 120 is standard taper for recommended line No. 8. This Fly Rod is in good condition. It has a soft white finish with dark green thread wrapped snake line guides. It looks good. The original guides and the original product decal are intact. Vtg 1966 Shakespeare Howald Wonderod 6' 6" SP 511 Spinning Fly Rod Sock Tube
This Model SP 511 KwikTaper Presidential Wonderod is in very good condition. The decals are not great. But it is an EEM date code which indicates that the rod was built in 1966. The rod was pulled out of a nice estate, but it was been sitting for decades. The burgundy anodized aluminum reel seat slides to allow the user to mount the reel at the most comfortable position. All of the guides and wraps are complete and in excellent condition. The ferrule is tight. the cord has some discoloration and the very bottom cap has some dings in it-probably from an old school rod holder on a boat. This spinning rod has the"whippy" action consistent with fiberglass rods. The Collect it or fish it, your choice.

This auction is for a Vintage 2 piece Shakespeare Wonderod. It is a spinning rod that when assembled is 5 and 1/2 feet long. It has no line or action designation. But from the feel I would say it is Ultra Light to Light Action. This is a nice, vintage rod that mechanically is in very nice condition with 5 line guides and wraps and a great connecting ferrule. The lower leg of the large guide on the butt section is barely under the thread wraps, so this might need to be rewraped. The appearance shows some light marks, fades or small scratches, but definitely nothing too major for the vintage for sure. When I purchased this rod it was missing the end cap on the cork handle and the two sliding rings to hold the reel. I added an end cap and the two sliding rings as shown. Up for auction is a nice USED Original vintage Shakespeare Standard Taper 6' 6" Spiral Markings- WONDEROD using Howald Process. No. SP-A100 6'6" EEB. This Rod is in good condition- This item has not been used since the late 1960's. Selling off a good friends(85 year old gentleman) fishing items he had back in the 60's. He says some were even purchased in the 50's. He really took good care of all his items. Fishing Rod is in Usable working condition. Shows minor wear from use. See photos for more details. Has some minor cork tearout from placing hook into cork for transport. Still very nice overall condition. Shows no signs of any cracking or splitting of the fiberglass. Very nice condition on this vintage rod(c.1958/1966) The handle is in great condition, the seat is undamaged and all wraps and guides are tight and fray free. The decal is to my eye about 90% The demerits on this rod are as follows The butt cap is missing and the top 4 guide supports have some light corrosion. The guides themselves seem to be fine. The label is worn but most of it is still legible. The straight fiber rod was made in the USA by using the Howald Process. The cork handle. Spiral markings and the eyes are all in very good condition. The rod holder is cracked with a couple missing pieces. It has been taped.
