This auction is for a used Montague fly rod as pictured. This is in good shape for the year. I do see one eye missing as in the last picture. Other then that it does appear to be complete. But please check the pictures. I am not really familiar with these old poles and there are NO GUARANTEES OR RETURNS. There is some normal aging on this, but overall I feel it is in good shape for the year. It also includes the case as shown. This measures just over 9' end to end. Rare vintage Heddon Split Bamboo kids child youth fishing pole 34" needs eyelet
Heddon 34" split bamboo fishing pole. I am assuming due to the size this is a kids pole. I have not found another one online anywhere this size. Fishing pole is in good cosmetic condition. Varnish is good for age. One spot just below Heddon badge(see pic) looks like finish had a bubble. This pole has one eyelet completely missing(see pic) This would be a great pole to restore. The soft case is tied at the bottom& is a bit tattered but holds the pole just the same. It has a jeweled eyelet at the end. This pole was originally made with only 2 eyelets, the tip& the middle. Now only has one. The rod appears to be missing a trigger/fingerhold that is part of the top ring for holding the reel on. If there are any other defects then I am not aware of them. Up for sale is a vintage Heddon 5 foot split bamboo bait fishing rod.Looks like a#6 I guess. Bought this from elderly gentleman who said he brought it home from Japan in 1953. The tag shown is his handwriting. I am not sure if this is a fly rod or a bait casting rod. Montague Fishkill Fishing 7' Rod Pole 2 Piece Split Bamboo w Original Canvas Bag
Vintage. Montague Fishkill Fishing Rod with the original canvas bag. The pole will separate into 2 pieces. Made out of a very nicely grained split bamboo. It has 4 fishing line guides(including the tip) The total length of the rod is 83 1/2" and the total weight is 21 ounces. The handle part is 18" long and weighs 13 ounces. The top part is 67" long and weighs 8 ounces. The canvas case fits this rod perfectly with 1 section for each piece. We found it at an estate sale in San Diego. California. There is an old string tag hanging on the rod, it says"XAIN 18.00" I don't know much about fishing and don't know what type of rod this is. I'm guessing it's a fly rod and would also guess it dates to the 1940s. Condition: Small split in the thin. Silver colored ring above the handle(last photo) Appears as though ... moreit may not have been used. The storage/carrying bag has spots, dirt and a few pin holes. The label on the bag is mostly worn away. Looks like the rod may have spent it's entire life in the rafters of the garage at the estate sale where we found it. Excellent condition. Each piece is about 33" long and it appear that there is the main piece and then an extension which then you can put one of the three tips on. So that would make it about 99" or you can always leave the extension off if you need a shorter pole. This came in the original cloth holder which could use a cleaning but over all it's all in VERY nice vintage condition. Just a GREAT estate find! Antique Union Hardware Company Split Bamboo Four Piece Fly Fishing Rod Pole
Up for auction is an antique split bamboo fly fishing rod. It has two end pieces. One of the ends is broken and poorly repaired and one is broken and missing the tip. The eyelets are rusty and one is broken. The pole is 102" long. The metal at the connector needs steel wool and oil so it will slide together. It is marked on the handle Union Hardware Company out of Torrington Conn. Fresh out of an old estate along with some other poles I have listed.

Here is a Really Nice Old Bamboo Fly Rod. I believe this is a South Bend because the little bag that it fits in. Says"South Bend" but I couldn't find any markings on the Rod itself. There appears to be 2 different end pieces that you can use. One is longer than the other. When put together, the Rod measures approx. 7 1/2 inches long. The Rod is in Excellent Condition for it's age. I'm no expert on this types of items, so Feel Free to ask questions! It comes in an aluminum Case that probably isn't the original. On the bottom of the rod, the little metal piece does have a few dents/scratches in it. c

In original wooden travel box with three metal swivels/ snaps. Fishing pole has three(3) sections each about 33 inches long. Full pole length of a bit over eight feet. Pole is intact and almost perfect, just one small chip from cork handle butt. Case is wooden, original to the pole, and has a split in the wood divider slide but otherwise good condition. THEN THERE IS ONE PIECE ABOUT 33 INCHES WITH SPIRAL JOINTS ON IT AND IT IS A COLOR OF CANE OR BAMBOO THAT DOES NOT MATCH THE OTHER 2 POLES. THERE YOU HAVE IT. THAT'S WHAT I KNOW.THERE IS A CASE MADE OF PLASTIC WITH A SCREW ON LID MADE BY ILASCA INCLUDED. THE STICKER ON THE CASE SAYS MADE IN COSTA RICA AND THE BOTTOM HAS BEEN REPAIRED WITH DUCT TAPE.
