This offering is for a a vintage bamboo boat rod that is rather short@ about 45" and my gut tells me that it was probably Montague and probably cut down from a larger rod but it sure looks cool. The ferrule sure is snug and that screw-on addition to the handle is unique so some time or other it's cool got to me and I had to have it and now it is time for someone else to enjoy it. Early 1900s Split Bamboo 9 ft Mortised Fly rod unknown maker
Beautiful blonde color split bamboo 9 ft fly rod by unknown maker. poss. chub from looking at reel-seat. butt section. Mid section, and two tips: all same length for 9 ft assembled rod. stripped and varnished with top quality spar varnish. redone with black/gold nylon thread wraps and mostly original guides. cork handle and reel-seat are original and in very nice condition. mortised shaft into handle is original and great looking. sections fit together and feel good. original carry-holder is in really nice condition, with no rotted cloth. wonderful for display in holder, or by itself assembled. or take it fishing. see the pictures and you be the judge.

VINTAGE 3 PIECE BAMBOO FLY ROD MAKER UNKNOWN OVER 8' LONG
Up for auction is a VINTAGE 3 PIECE BAMBOO FLY ROD? MAKER UNKNOWN OVER 8' LONG. I am in no way an expert on fishing or fishing equipment so I have taken lots of photos for you to view. This pole measures almost 9 feet long when I put it together but each piece did not fit easily all the way in and I did not want to force it so I measured each piece separately. The handle measures about 37" the middle piece about 36 3/4" and the tip approx 35 1/4" I'm pretty sure it is bamboo and pretty sure it is a fly rod. There is a greenish case that had a label at one time and a tube that it will ship in. The rod itself looks to be in good condition but again. I'm not an expert. There are some scratches where the reel attaches. Please ask any questions before bidding and good luck!

Vintage Bamboo Fly Rod Unknown Maker Recently Restored 3pc 9' 2-3wt
This is a beautiful old rod. Unknown original maker. This rod has the look and feel of a high end piece of it's time. This rod was stripped, cleaned, rewrapped with new light wire snake guides and a vintage Agate stripper. The cane has some set.no attempt was made to change it's character. The original pinned ferrules were removed, cleaned and reinstalled with epoxy but NOT re-pinned. The reel seat was cleaned and recoated, the cork was cleaned and the metal parts were polished. This is a great old rod that has been given new life. It is 3 pieces and 9' long and weighs in at only 4.3 oz. It should cast 2-3wt line. Rare Vintage Antique Metal Casting Fishing Rod 3 pc Unknown maker 1800 1900's ?
Selling a rare vintage 3 piece casting rod. I was not able to locate any info on this rod and tried researching for a possible maker/model but came up empty. My guess would be from late 1800's. Early 1900's. Again, just an educational guess. Rod is 3-piece, however, the bottom piece has separated from the rod handle(could be re-glued together? Sold as is, for parts or repair. The rod is solid metal(including the guides) with cork grip. Has a trigger which indicates it's a bait casting/ casting rod. When put together, rod measures approximately 8' 1" in length from top to bottom. While auction runs. Here is an old bamboo fishing rod that includes 3 pieces that vary in length(bottom 31 1/2. Middle 38, tip end 34) Together they make an 8 and a half foot long rod. Did not notice any name and looks like a shellac was brushed over it. I think it is more of a display item than a user, but that will be up to you. Antique 80" Split Bamboo Fly Rod w/ Canvas Sleeve and 2 Tips (Unknown Maker)
You are bidding on antique split bamboo fly rod with a canvas case. Measuring approximately 80" when four sections are assembled. It has two tips as shown in the photo. A family item dating from the early 1900's,it has some rust and corrosion. I have not attempted to clean it in any way, just discovered it when going through some estate items. The canvas case has a makers sticker as shown in the photo but it is too far gone to make determine the maker. No makers mark or other info on the rod itself.
