Up for bid is a vintage Fenwick fiberglass fly rod. The model# is FF75. Which is in the desireable 7 1/2' rod length, weight is 3 1/4oz,and is rated as AFTMA line# 5-6. Rod is in good condition, has been fished, but plenty of life left in her. Reel seat bottom cap is missing but other then a good cleaning it is good to go. All wraps are in excellent condition, no rust on guides and look as good as new. Comes with original scotch plaid bag and original aluminum tube(tube has some marks,no dents, and label is fair but there) All sales final. We describe item as best we can. You are bidding on a vintage Fenwick 2061 Lunkerstik 2000 fishing rod with serial number P276845 which dates this rod to 1976 or 1977. This rod is in good condition with the exception of a cut in the wrap of the third guide from the handle. This wrap is still tight and the guide is held firmly in place. All of the other guides are in very good condition. The wraps are tight and the guides are straight. There are a few light scratches on the rod and decals as seen in the pictures. The handle shows some signs of use and has light scratches which can be seen on close inspection. All of the pieces of the handle are in excellent working condition with no damage. Offered for sale is my little-used[including its having bought used(from an ex-wife) by me. Due to health and work demands, a late 60's- early 70's Fenwick 7' 2.13 m) fiberglass spinning rod, Lunker Stik' Its second last guide at outer rod-end was damaged upon a glancing blow on the bark of an old tree. Professionally replaced! Well-crafted fiberglass fishing rods have more advantages than disadvantages over(modulus- graphite rods. Professional fisherman still use their forty-year-old fiberglass'Fenwicks' I've uploaded one individual FUJI 14 meg-pix of this and another such inclusive of one Fenwick 7' 2.13 m) Classic Glass' factory rod of 1975, and one custom, fiberglass 8' 3" 2.51 m) COHO spinning rod of 1975. Delineating these are twelve scanned images- two sided for lunk_1a. lunk_3b, and one- ... moresided for lunk_4a. lunk_5b, as the rod- diameters were too small for useful two-sided inspection and too numerous. Do read the invoice for the Fenwick'Classic Glass' rod(bought directly from Fenwick as a replacement; old injured rod returned-with as a souvenir) and the group-of-three measurements, following. Vintage Fenwick Fiberglass PLS75 7 1/2 Ft. Spinning Rod made in USA
This auction is for a vintage Fenwick PLS75. 7 1/2 ft. glass spinning rod. The rod was designed for use along the Gulf Coast as a light tackle saltwater spinning rod. The rod label is intact and shows that the rod weighs 6 3/4 oz. and is rated for 1/4- 5/8 oz. Lures and 6-15 lb. line. The rod has a heavy duty double locking ring downlocking reel seat. The ferrule fit is tight, and there are no cracks in the ferrules. The guides are all original and in what appear to me to be in very good condition. I am the original owner of this rod. Having purchased it in 1977, and it has seen only very light use. There are minor scratches on the reel seat(where the reel foot sat) and some ridging on the foregrip and the handle. There are some light cosmetic scratches on the rod blank, but the blank's finish is otherwise bright and even. The rod comes ... morein the original red nylon rod sock and the original triangular Fenwick rod tube. As shown in the pictures, the rod tube cap is missing and there is a piece out of the tube's end cap. With the exceptions noted, I would judge the rod in very good to excellent condition, particularly for a rod of this vintage. Here is the one you have been waiting for. I took the best Fiberglass blanks. The best components, and combined them to make a rod that is an instant classic. This is a Fenwick SP812 F blank wrapped with dark rust colored thread, grade A cork handle, Vintage Varmac double locking reel seat, Fuji SIC guides, and a genuine Fenwick butt cap. No details were overlooked on this rod. It is beautiful and fully functional. If you are looking for a custom rod built on a vintage new old stock Fenwick blank, look no further. I do not have the specs on the SP812. I feels like a medium Light rod rated for 4-10# line and 1/8-1/2oz. lures. I may be off a bit, but I think I am pretty close. Here it is! The Holy Grail of Thin Walled. Large Mandrel Fiberglass Fly Rods! AKA"Glow Sticks" This is a nearly impossible to find 7.5 ft 5 wt Fenwick Feralite fly rod. FYI, fiberglass fly rods are making a MONSTER comeback. Even Orvis is back in the fiberglass game! This rod is in very good used condition. Wraps and guides all solid. The cork was cleaned a little bit and I noticed a few chips from hook digs. This auction is for a nice vintage Fenwick 3 piece 9 foot fly rod in a Fenwick hard plastic tube. This was my fly rod when I used to go fishing. I had several Fenwick rods and for some reason the 9 ft rod ended up in the 8 foot tube which has a broken off cap. However the rod was well cared for over the years and not used as much as the smaller rods I had used. Hopefully the photos will tell it all. Please ask questions if needed.

Up for sale are 2 unique rods. One that could use some care but could be a wonderful small stream tool. A one piece Fenwick FL72-6. However the rod actually measures 5'7" It does throw a#6 line but I like it way better with a#5. While this custom rod is very vintage. It includes very small eyelets. In all honesty I would strip it and start over with bigger guides and better spacing. Also the cork has wear. Still with love this could be a wonderful vintage yellow Fenwick. I own another 76-2 yellow Fenwick that is a 6' one piece that I wouldn't sell for the world. The other is a 1 PC Vintage Phillipson Fiberglass Custom 5'6" 5wt. An absolutely beautiful rod. 1 minor flaw. Missing end cap. Easily fixable. I can assure you though that this small rod throws line like a champ. Only used 2 times! For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this great fiberglass spin fishing rod made by Fenwick in the USA. It is a 2 piece 7 foot fiberglass rod and it is the PLS70 model. It is rated for 1/4- 5/8 ounce lures and 6- 10 pound line. Note the desirable ferralite ferrules. These were treasured back in the day but its been some time since they were last made. This is an early one.serial number 19346. Condition is used but good with no damage or repairs. The seat. Butt, eyes and wraps are all good.
