For sale at a buy it now fixed price is this classic 1970s vintage rod. It is the 6 piece 6 foot 9 inch Trailmaster fly fishing rod made by Wright McGill Eagle Claw in the USA. This one is model TMF. It is balanced for 7 weight line but throws either 6 weight or 8 weight lines pretty comfortably. It comes in their readily identifiable aluminum tube and this one is in exellent condition. Also included is the rod sack that you see. The principal advantage of this rod is the compact size. With a tube measuring under 15 inches it fits easily in your luggage. Your saddlebag or behind the seat of your truck when you might have a chance to cast to bass or a northern. Condition is used but in excellent condition with no damage and the wraps and reel seat are good. The cork grip is undamaged. The tube has some wear but no dents and the screw on lid ... moreis good. Here is a Eagle Claw Trailmaster fishing rod. It is model#TRRR269. Is 6'9" has 6 pieces and is a fly/spinning combination. This rod takes line size 7. It has A9C under the eagle on the handle. I believe this is from the 60's or early 70's, It was made by Wright& McGill Co. Denver, CO. This rod comes with its original cover and aluminum case, which is 15" long. I have owned this for many years and just don't use it any more. This rod is used, but in very good condition; the only wear I can see is a small amount of cork is missing on the upper handle(I think hooks were stuck there) see picture. Up for bid is this vintage Wright& McGill Trailmaster 6' 9" No. 61 MU Line 7 Eagle Claw fishing spin/fly rod. Has the small eye on the bottom section for fly fishing or use it as a casting rod. Breaks down into 6 pieces and fits in a cloth sleeve and a metal container with screw on lid for easy storage. This rod does not seem like it had much use. The section joints on this rod is just as tight today as when it was new. All of the eyes are tight and in great shape. The six piece rod comes with a 15" aluminum tube and cloth sock. It is 6' 9" long. It is in very good condition with no damage or defects. You may have to polish and lubricate the ferrule inserts. This is a lightly used fly rod with the specs in the title. The finish is intact, windings intact and tight, eyelets undamaged, nice condition. The only drawbacks I see are the etchings on the handle and the case. See photos. The owner was a family friend and I'm keeping most of his collection which is in similar condition but I don't fly fish and it would be a waste of this rod to do anything other with it. Vintage Eagle Claw Trailmaster Collapsible 6 PC Fishing Rod w/Case Spin/Fly 6'9"
Up for sale is a vintage Eagle Claw Trailmaster No TRP601-6'9" 206 cm) collapsible 6 piece fishing rod with aluminum case. Rod is made of what appears to be fiberglass and is in really good condition. With minor wear. It appears to have been barely used, or very well cared for. Aluminum case is also in good condition. This would be perfect for any fisher-person, it would be an ideal travel pole and would be fabulous for backpackers and hikers or to keep in the car for every day fishing opportunities. It offers the rugged safety and durability of a sturdy, sealed aluminum case with screw top(chain connects lid to canister to prevent loss) It also features an interior cloth pouch that has pockets to hold pole parts, simply roll up the pole parts inside the cloth pouch and insert the pouch into the aluminum case. No more broken pole ... moreparts and costly repairs/replacements. The canister also has loops for a strap, but it isn't included, one could potentially make their own, or use a clip to clip to a backpack or belt. With Spring/Summer right around the corner, this would be the perfect piece of equipment to add to the camp gear box. Rod is approximately 6'9" when fully assembled, case is approximately 17" long, reel isn't included, listing is just for 6 pieces that make one fishing rod, one cloth storage pouch, and one aluminum case.
