This listing is for a vintage Heddon fishing pole which I see other online sellers referring to as a Heddon PAL casting fishing rod. It is used/pre-owned. It is clearly marked" HEDDON" I see no model number nor the year it came out. The shaft of the rod appears to be made of graphite. I do not know if this rod is all 1-piece or whether it breaks down into 2 or more sections. If it does break down, I do not know how to disassemble it. The handle, I believe, is referred to as a pistol grip type. That handle, both before and just after the reel area, feels like cork to me. I see a couple splits to the cork positioned in front of the reel area but there is no cork actually missing anywhere. The integrity of the rod still appears to be fine. This rod measures nearly 61 inches from tip to handle bottom. The winner must supply their own reel, fishing line, bobbers, weights, hooks, lures, etc. This rod saw typical use in its day. There is wear to the factory brown paint at the reel area on both the top and bottom. The cork areas of the pole look to be in fair condition overall while the shaft is in very good condition. Ask any pertinent questions BEFORE bidding. This item is being sold strictly as is. TERMS OF SALE: Payment is to be made in full via Paypal PRIOR to the item being picked up. It's a telescoping rod that measures 35" up to 103" when fully extended(including is 9" handle) The upper section of the handle is stamped"DESCO" and the lower section is cork. Rod is in good condition with all four original eyelets intact without breaks or repairs. Sliding the sections in and out is a little stiff but I bets some WD-40 will clear that right up. Here is a vintage fly fishing pole. I know nothing about fishing or rods but I can explain what I see and I took lots of photos. You can see all the photos if you go to the end of the photos and use the up down arrows to see more. Then click on the ones you want to make them larger. I do not see a makers name. But it looks like there was a label once up near the beginning of the cork handle. the cork is in different pieces(on purpose) There are two metal bands that I believe are nickel from other's I've read about. One of the bands is covered up quite a bit with tape. I was going to take it off but decided to leave it in it's original condition. The pole looks like wood. It is in two pieces and I can't get the pieces apart so it is shipped in it's original length of about 6 feet long.
