Sage Flight 5 weight 7'6" Fly Rod - Model FLi 576-4
Up for auction is this four piece. 7 foot 6 inch Sage Flight 5 weight fly rod. It is an attractive rod in a subtle copper color with contrasting darker brown wraps. Rod was used about a half dozen times, and is in excellent used condition(see photos) It comes with original Sage rod tube with internal dividers for the different rod sections. Like many of Sage's successful past models. The Flight series is unfortunately no longer being produced. Sage marketed the Flight rods as a"value" line of smooth, fast action rods. I would describe this model as more medium-fast. The shorter 7' 6" length is harder to find in a 5 weight, and is great for accuracy and tighter casting conditions. This is a factory built Sage Flight 790-4. 7 weight, 9'0" 3 15/16 oz. fly rod in very good condition. It comes with 2 rod socks that are not original Sage equipment, but they keep the rod safe and clean, especially when slid into the pictured heavy duty PVC tube(approx. 32" long) that it will be shipped in. The PVC tube does not have any ends or fittings to hold the rod in, but the snugness of the rod socks inside the tube keeps them in place without any movement at all. I will be taping the ends shut for shipping. The rod has been lightly used. Good luck!
