Hardy Uniqua Salmon Fly Reel - 3 3/4 Wide Drum
Up for auction is a Hardy Uniqua. The reel is 3 3/4 inches in diameter. And has a rim tension control and telephone latch. Mark II check, and stamped with the initials JRJ on the inside. Designed for right hand wind, but is currently set up as a left hand wind reel(it can be switch by simply reversing the pawl) The only real fault is the seat, which has been filed on both ends. The line is a 450 grain Rio Skagit Short and is included in the listing. Feel free to email with any question.

A 4" Wide Drum Fly Reel by Dingley for Army & Navy Co-operative Society
This is a superb Dingley made(D1) 4" Perfect style Reel marked for Army& Navy Co-operative Society Ltd( ANCSL) Overall width of the reel is 1.8" and spool width is 1.2" The spool retaining screw is reverse threaded to unscrew clockwise. And tension adjuster is strapped over. The brass foot is original length at 3.3" The reel retains most of its original leaded finish and is in excellent mechanical condition. The spool is tight and free from wobble and the check works and sounds great. Only'defect' is some line burn on the rim as shown in photo 5. It looks worse in the photo than in reality. The reel was in use earlier this season and has a recent sink tip line fitted. No idea what weight it is. ANCSL became Army& Navy Stores in 1934 so I assume this reel predates that name change. for sale here is a very nice early model beaudex by JW youngs. Rarer 4" size with 1.25" wider drum, rear tension, patented early ergo grip handle, twin checks, left or right wind, reversible lineguide with no line marks at all, ebonite centre boss has no cracks, 2 screw drum release, unfiled and straight foot, reel is very good undamaged with no buckles and aside from a little paint loss its a lovely reel with good check, nice example, built in january 1964 and factory date stamped inside.please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week.

Vintage Antique 4" Farlow ambassador wide drum salmon brass fishing reel - boxed
Here we have for auction a boxed Farlow 4" wide drum ambassador alloy salmon reel in an absolutely beautiful condition complete with chunky ebonite handle set on nickel rim. Smooth unfiled alloy foot, spool wedge tension lever and ventilated spool. This quality reel reel has a very strong constant check that sounds a nice firm click on the turn. The tension lever& mechanism work just fine applying good tension to the spool. Stamped to the face in straight logo, THE AMBASSADOR with Farlow makers detail circular plate, also stamped to the tension mechanism with the British& New Zealand patent numbers. The alloy is nice and clean retaining a good original finish with no corrosion. Pitting, line grooves or damage to pillars. A lovely reel which is going to compliment any collection!
